dedicated bike trail and skills area around gedling country park

Hi, this is an ideal and must location with a hill for graded trails and a pump track close for everyone in the area. You only have to see the amazing setups in Sheffield on area's similar to this which the Councils have been involved with.

Would be great for the local community, and the younger generation.

Just moved to the area and got a MTB. Would be pretty cool having it on my doorstep

I agree with is as it will help the local economy and general health of the local population. I frequent Sherwood pines and Cannock chase and both are thriving recreational sites for all the family, if the same could be replicated at Gedling it should be a no brainer for the council. Nearest decent ride is cannily chase or Sherwood pines. Definitely a need for something local.

Great idea

I think this would be fantastic for the local area. I already regularly ride at Gedling Country Park and think the park would greatly benefit from dedicated cycling trails. With the elevation and gradient available I think there is potential for a very popular venue.

I always thought this park would be a wonderful place for such a venture. My friends, family and I would use it on a weekly basis.

Make it happen. We need Rad trails, bikes are cool, nobody who rides bikes ever went mental and did bad things. It gives kids somewhere to go and keep fit and a new challenge and keeps them off pokemon go so they don't need a charger for everything in their life. The council seem keen on building hundreds of bmx and skatepark solutions to keep kids busy well let's take the same idea and take it through somewhere peoperly outdoors. Trails teach kids to respect nature and to go enjoy their surroundings. Remember your first bike. The freedom that gave you. It doesn't have to wear off. Rad trails give you that seem feeling wether your 5 or 50.

i believe so too, cant think of any negitive effects at all and given that a public made trail at hemlock stone has just been demolished this could and should be a perfect replacement, if done with permission and backing from the local councils.

yes a little like sherwood pines, but with the option to use a natural gradient to provide a more exhilarating ride with a few easy advanced options, maybe a few rock gardens, small tabletops, plenty of berms, not just a featureless route like sherwood pines is..
