We believe that the upcoming graduating class, and the classes to precede us, should be able to decorate the caps purchased by us and our families. While we understand that the caps may be distracting and informal during the graduation ceremony, we believe that decorating our caps will be a lasting way for us to remember our time at our respective high schools. While uniformity and formality is important, individuality is as well. The decorating of the top of the caps will be a representation of us branching out into our adult lives and separating ways, but the base of the cap being the same as our peers, is a representation of each individual high school always being part of our roots. Together as the student bodies in Leander ISD we agree to conditions that there will be no foul language on our caps. We also agree to the condition that our caps will be finished by graduation practice in order to get our personal decorations approved by each of the schools administrations. Our neighboring district, Round Rock ISD allows their students to decorate their caps, and their implementation is shown to be effective. As we enter into our final years in Leander ISD, we look forward to a monumental year and working together with the district to make our dreams a reality.
