Salem Witch Hunt, really? How is anyone doing anything that violates procedural safeguards for filing a complaint against school administration? Why is following the law to defend your civil rights compared to the Salem Witch Trial? How wonderfully shocking it is that Benson did what she is suppose to do for your child but what about all the children she hurt? What about the children that she repetitively humiliated because of their learning abilities? What about these bullied kids...or does bullying only exist in Salem Witch Trials? Here's an update of our CURRENT WORLD: Connecticut had the largest mass shooting in elementary and high school history and if that isn't enough for you to want your children to be better protected in our schools maybe the rising epidemic of child suicides due to bullying isn't either! If you support a bully, you're a bully too.

Wow I thought the Witch hunts ended in Salem. Personally I can't say enough about how much Judy Benson Clark did for my children. She helped to impliment programs that helped my daught read. Without all her work and the program's my daughter would not be where she is today. I can tell you she cared about the kids. More than the parents did. I went to every confrence. Other parents did not show. Can she be harsh? You bet she could be and you know what. I knew what I had to do as a parent to educate my daughter. Yes the school is there to teach our children but it is also our responsibilities as parents as well.My daughter has a learning disability and would have fallen through the cracks if it wasn't, for her. I will say this I would rather have someone who is honest with me and be a little harsh than someone who sugar coats things. I owe a lot to her. My children are my world and always will be. I can,t believe some of the residence of Sprague could be so nasty. Like I said the Salem Witch hunts are over. She did not deserve being treated with such disrespect.....

At a time when we need to give our children every opportunity from the start in order to build the confidence and knowledge they will need to have successful lives in this increasingly competitive world, we have been saddled with a Superintendent who's actions border on criminality. How is it that Judy Bensen-Clarke can allocate funds to procure a top of line computer system, and an $800 office chair for her personal use, yet teachers just down the hall from her have to resort to Donorschoose.org, a crowd funding site that supports schools in need, to purchase supplies and a $500 carpet for their classroom? And how can she justify the elimination of programs such as Project Oceanology and others, that were already funded for the coming year? It's nothing less than theft...theft of our children's future, stealing from them any hope that they may gain the smallest foothold to start a bright and rewarding life. They are her littlest and most vulnerable victims and they will pay the price unless she is terminated now.

I have witnessed first hand how JBC runs Sayles school and it is very unprofessional. She is very self centered and cares only for her own well being. I truely believe she clearly does not belong in a school setting.

Ive went to this school for roughly half my life and my God does it need help and from what I've heard it's only gotten worse

I find it abhorrent that Bensen-Clarke was able to find cash in the budget to hire people to do what she was paid to do while cutting programs that would benefit the children. I really don't understand how the Board of Education has not only allowed this to go on, but have supported her in this behavior. In my opinion, it's ridiculous to even have a "superintendent of SCHOOL"- we only have ONE school, not several that would require the oversight of a coordinating official. She's a glorified principal. She couldn't even be bothered to show up at the budget meeting on May 31st. Probably because she knows she'd be questioned about her ability to be an effective leader.

Please plan to come to next BOE meeting at Sayles School on June 8th at 7.P.M. your participation is important to have your comments public with the issue of terminating the Superintendent Dr. Judy Benson-Clarke and have her administration and BOE responsible for their actions.

I agree , she should be terminated . I'm upset it's taken so long for the district to realize she does not make good desisions for sayles .

She is only in this for her self and does not care about the education of my children.

I spent most of my elementary and middle school years at Sayles. Although my friends and I enjoyed our time there, we could not wait to leave. Judy Bensen-Clarke has no care for any of the student. All she cares about is the increase of her pay every year. She is the worst role-model for that school. Not only is she selfish and rude, but she is currently depriving students of extra curricular activities. It is honestly disgusting to see how terribly this school has failed because of one woman.
