As a Hawaiian National, I am deeply concerned at the lack of genuine democratic input displayed in the Na'i Aupuni process. As a political scientist, the Na'i Aupuni process as it stands at this point is clearly exclusionary. In examining other transitional governments the world over it is evident that a transparent, inclusive process is far more important and sustainable than the production of an irrelevant constitution within an opaque setting.

I oppose 150 people being allowed to decide the fate of the future of our Hawaiian people.

Shut down na'i as punishment immediately

I am opposed to any new constitution formed by the Na'i Aupuni 'Aha and stand with the Lahui Kanaka in condemning Na'i Aupuni 'Aha.

This `aha represents no one but those on the short list allowed to enter the golf course. Having canceled their own election, participants cannot be called delegates as there were never any votes cast which delegated them any authority to speak for the lahui. A process created by the state (the offending party) violates the most basic principles of self-determination. Any documents that come out of this `aha should carry no weight in negotiating our lands and resources. I reject any outcome of this `aha.

I think there are a lot of well-intentioned people involved in Naʻi Aupuni, but I think that they have been misled into thinking that this is a path towards any kind of real self-determination or sovereignty for our people. What we need for something like this is a strong foundation of education and imagination, and clear participation from the people the delegates are purporting to represent.

'A'ole federal recognition, mahalo!

Aʻole to this and any other aha, concon or any other back door tactic to extinguish my National Sovereignty, my birthrights, and our existence in the Hawaiian Archipelago!!

Everything about this process is wrong, and I believe in a better future for our keiki.

Aha cannot be legitimate when there is an existing Kingdom under occupation and existing standing treaties between the Hawaiian Kingdom & countries around the world!

Reject na'i aupuni

I reject and do not agree or support any of the views or stances of Naʻi Aupuni.

Na`i Aupuni `Aha is a futile exercise based on ignorance; they are ignoring the truth that our Kingdom still exists, that we already have been self-determined via the Anglo-French Proclamation of November 28, 1843 and that we already have a Kingdom Constitution, therefore we don't need Federal Recognition by the United States Government. Fedwreck is an effort to divide and conquer us and to further their theft of our authority to manage our own lands, oceans, resources and our rights to exercise our spiritual ceremonies at our sacred mountains and sacred sites. To do that would be an act of genocide against our people. No treaty of Annexation and there is no such thing as "ceded" lands. Stop the charade, its is a waste of money and time! Hewa oia! Hemu!
