Hello☺️, we are a year 13 SOS group,
Our policy aims to influence a policy to allow the use of devices (laptops and tablets) in form time, on days when students are not required to be in assembly or read books. We believe that the use of devices in form time could be beneficial to students who may not have time in the morning to prepare themselves for the school day by checking emails, daily notices, timetables etc. Allowing the use of devices in form time could give opportunity for students to be better prepared for their classes in the school day ahead.
Our Code of Ethics:
- Respect the anonymity of our participants
- Respect withdrawal from participants
- Aim to inspire others instead of projecting harm
- Consent should be given throughout our social action from participants and teachers
- Withhold the Macleans values of No lies and Authority Respected

Yes, I agree that students should be allowed to use their laptops during school sessions because it helps them to study, revise, research, and learn more through internet. To avoid students from surfing through the internet on unrelated topics regarding the subject, the teachers can keep their gadgets on a box temporarily until the class has ended and return them back to students.
Give the students trust and get them to prove themselves. Give them the space for them to grow and improve themselves through responsibility and empowerment
This sounds ridiculous, what's the point of having students bring devices to school if you're bit going to let them use said devices?
Agree as laptops have become such an integral part of our lives. Need to have access at all times
I agree with using devices to prepare students for the school day, it could be productive towards their education.

I agree with the idea of students spending any free time to catch up on school work or emails during form time. They will have the option of not going on their devices if they want to talk to each other.
