This pool needs to be maintained so that it can support competitive swimming. Your future athletes deserve at least this much support for the effort that they are prepared to invest. Please invest in them and make the 8-10 lane 50 meter pool

The new Canada Games Pool should be larger and better offering more to competitive swimmers and public, NOT less! It should also use healthier pool system / healthiest way to sanitize the water. MineralPURE is one of the most advanced pool ionizers on the market today and should be utilized if we are building a new pool. Lets keep our children happy and healthy.

As parents of a competitive swimmer from the Victoria area, we have been coming for the last 5 years to the Youth Cup, one of the premier swim events in the BC Youth Circuit. If something, we need MORE competitive pools and not less. Swimming is one of the single most valuable activities youth may experience, either recreational or competitive and we should take down barriers to encourage more kids to join, not build more barriers to discourage families to enjoy this activity. Similar ideas were defeated in the Greater Victoria area (Crystal Pool and West Shore) just because they do not make sense.

Before you build a new pool, get your advice from a competitive club swim coach first. They spend 8-10 times a week at the pool coaching and know what is needed to make all types of swim programs work seamlessly.

No more mediocrity for. Ew Westminster. City hall folks need to listen to the community members. I believe that if you are going to spend this kind of money you need to do it right with the stakeholders involved. I want to see 10 lanes so that we can host proper swim meets and still serve the community at the same time.

New Westminster needs a 10-lane, 50-meter, competitive pool more than a leisure facility!

As more municipalities begin to replace aging recreational infrastructure they all seem to suffer from the same problem, a distinct lack of accommodation for the competitive athlete. 8 lane 50 metre competition ready pool please.

Build a facility that promotes high level aquatics competition and provides ample recreational aquatics flexibility. Educate yourselves by consulting with your user groups to get a broad perspective. Look to Langley & Surrey who have done it right. North Van did not with Delbrook but have the opportunity to course correct with Harry Jerome.
