A Provincial 10 lane pool would be most ideal. It will benefit the city of New Westminster in the long run.

A $100 million pool/rec center should have the ability to host races and keep Hyack swim club alive. Ask yourself - how can we spend $100 million and not be able to race. Canada Games Pool staff also want a 10-Lane Olympic sized pool to increase lap/lane swimming and lessons. WAKE UP New Westminster.

A 10 lane pool is a benefit to all residents in New Westminster. There will be the ability to offer more programs and lessons. Building an 8-lane pool is building what we have now. Condos and development are on the rise, bringing more people. If what we have now is not sufficient, how will it satisfy the community in the future when we have 1.5 times the population? Bringing more and bigger swim meets to the City will help the economy and local businesses.

10 lanes would be great. We need to have a better competition facility then what we have. It makes no sense downgrading then what we have. I strongly recommend 10 lane pool. How often do we build these facilities? Looking at another 45+ years. We need 10 lane pool for competitive swimming.

The facility needs to be built with future needs in mind. The current design does not fulfill current or future needs. 10 lanes 50 meters are needed

Must have a 10 lane pool. You wouldn't build a track with 5 lanes

The facility should be accessible to all user groups. The legacy of the existing facility is built on sport and youth in the community. A small and restrictive pool facility denies that legacy and kills the federal, provincial and civic initiatives of years past . Building an adequately sized pool structure enabling the hosting of events meets common goals in the community.
