We need to take a pause and make sure we are maintaining/repairing what currently exists while being sure future development doesn't add to the issue.

I've lived on forked Creek for 50 years and never had flooding until Hurricane Milton. Something need to be done.

Stop building in srq and manatee. Save our communities

We have to get new development under control. Take care of the issues we already have from over development before issuing future permits.

I live in the community next to Laurel Meadows, and we don't want that avoidable flooding to be repeated there or anywhere in Sarasota County!!

Please stop the over development insanity! The Neal development approval off Clark Road is a travesty!

I live on Jaffa canal and would like this to be done.

There are known areas that flood every time we have any significant rain. An example is Ringling next to the Sarasota Yacht Club. yacht float. Cars don’t. Year after year this kind of known flooding continues with no effort to resolve it. That’s what the storm tax is for.

Further study is needed before more development happens in flood plane areas.

The home values and quality of life of all county residents (even those who weren't flooded) depend on getting this right to try to minimize increased insurance costs; decreases in home values, businesses and economic activity if people consider this area to be too prone to flooding and wastewater spillage; and increased red tides (affecting tourism and our ability to enjoy the ocean).
