Since 2001 we have never seen water near our home. After the rain stopped on Monday the fifth sewage kept rising and everything filled our house so fast like a tsunami. My wife had to get rescued and me the next day nowhere was the county available to help us. We lost everything we own and do not have the resources to rebuild our beautiful home that we work so hard for 24 years. Our insurance companies turned her back on us and so has the county. We really need to get this taken care of immediately. Our community is destroyed because of their inferior work

We live at 2224 Vintage St. We have been in that home Since 2001 and been in many hurricane and heavy rainstorm. At no time did our water get to her driveway or upper driveway let alone fill our pool to the max. We always completely drained and dried out immediately. This was not natural. The rain stopped, and then sewage water kept coming in and getting higher and higher until it ruined everything in our home. We did not have flood insurance and lost our life savings our home, all our valuables everything that matter to us in our house and our lives. Somebody needs to be responsible for this. This is not normal or natural. Now we feel our community is ruined besides our lives.

Our homes in The Lakes were under four feet of toxic sewage water because of the careless acts of Sarasota County ! Now all our plants are dying and people are getting MRSA ! This was a man made catastrophe ! Not an act of God !

This is an outrageous lack of governance by city major Liz Alpert and manager Marlon Brown. They should be protecting the health of residents and public and activate a prevention plan for the future.
