I live in Legacy Estates and we had 30" or more water in our streets during Tropical Storm Debby. It appears to me that stormwater management is not being managed by the County.

Develop a comprehensive plan and stick to it. Denying climate change will not protect the Sarasota and surrounding counties. Raise fees on developers rather than having taxpayers subsidize their profits. Stop all development in flood plains so that nature can do her work. If the right action is not taken, the problems with flooding will only increase and will have implications for everyone in the region. Preserve our wetlands!!! Stop voting for people that are destroying the environment at our peril.

I moved to Florida in 1989. I became concerned in June 1992 with heavy rain fall that month. Causing flooding in a neighborhood I lived in off Beneva Rd and Clark Rd. Now with the flooding of Laurel Meadows I'm very concerned. I now live in Bent Tree just off Bee Ridge Rd, a mile from Laurel Meadows.
