I am proof that this works as when I am in a legal State I am able to go without muscle relaxants, pain pills, sleep pills,
antI-nflammatories, anxiety medication, and if I was there long enough I could probably go off the seizure medication I also take for my fibromyalgia and facial nerve pain. All that and without the debilitating side effects that you get from each one of those pills.
We lose 25 people a month in our state of Utah but nobody has ever died from cannabis so why can't we give people this natural non-addicting non-lethal alternative.
The article was wrong as there is no slippery slope. It's going to take a couple years to set up medical and the ballad initiative is written to have strict standards with documentation and it will be for extracts only so no flower and no smoking.
When it comes to research Israel has done a lot of it since we couldn't, including finding out how the endocannabinoid system in our body's work with CB 1 receptors in our brain and nervous system and CB 2 receptors' in our tissues and organs that act like a key in a lock and this is why it helps us with so many different conditions.

The national cancer institute has written on their site how it creates apoptosis with cancer cells shutting them down so that they can't replicate and making them commit suicide.

Cannabis has been a medicine sold over the counter like aspirin since the 1800s and we were lied to in the name of control so please please do your research.
All the patients of Utah are asking for is an alternative and a chance to try something that has killed less people than Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Not only is keeping cannabis illegal, immoral and unjust, it is crushing the economy financially and feeding the underground selling of cannabis.

The reasons that marijuana is illegal in the first place are highly suspect. Profit and greed are not acceptable reasons for prohibition. Make this plant legal in all its beneficial forms and do it now!

I am for legalisation and believe we should follow other states on this matter. So many people and children will benefit from this as I am one who does not do well with pharmacuticles and would use this as an alternative. Also look at the funds generated by taxing and how Colorado has so much funding from taxs that they have to give it back to the community. I am all for following their lead.

The people of Utah need access to safe and natural medicine in order to live a healthy and happy lifestyle. To be opposed to this "unalienable right" is to stand against humanity and compassion.

How can Congress continue to deny the legalisation of marijuana, which is proven to be a medical miracle while endorsing, and taking kick-backs from the Alcohol, and Tabacco industries. Tabacco and Alcohol are responsible for millions of deaths every year, Tabacco is so deadly it kills people that don't even smoke. Our representatives allow us to be poisoned by these awful substances, while at the same time trying to legislate denying 25 million Americans affordable health care!

I think we should be fighting for the end to prohibition in general on all substances, paired with the taxation and regulation of all substances. The bigger issue here, however, is the lobbying efforts of pharmaceutical, alcohol, health insurance and tobacco companies (among many others, including clothing, paper, oil and gas companies) to keep our politicians on the fence or against the idea of the end of prohibition.
