Open debate is always the first step towards consensus. No debate harms us all.

I call on Stonewall to stop supporting the extreme tactics of transactivists and acknowledge the right of other groups to take part in the debate. Note I do not wish my name to be shown on the petition due to the intimidatory tactics of the Trans lobby.

This is important for the well being of women and girls to be respected and considerd, in this area of.genderisms.

You're on the wrong side of this battle. Nor is it - ironically - a binary issue. Disagreeing with self ID does not make one a phobe. That's just lazy or disingenuous.

It is not transphobic to stand up for women. Transwomen are transwomen - not women. No to self ID.

Stonewall should review it's treatment of lesbians and gay men after what is an increasingly homophobic and toxic onslaught from transgender activists.

Also reconsider your appropriateness of material- the you tube video aimed at primary school children encouraging to ask teachers to help them fill out the GRA consultation was shocking, one sided and manipulating. You must be an 18 year old adult to vote, which effects political acts in parliament, for good reason. In a complex debate that warrants mature and balanced thinking, your video was completely inappropriate

If you can’t come to your senses on this you’ll need to drop the L, G and B.

Stonewall needs to adopt critical thinking re: safeguarding. We can protect the rights of trans people without impinging on womens’ rights.

This is a really necessary move, bringing sanity and decency back into this fraught issue.

As a cis woman and lesbian I support that particularly women only spaces must be protected.

I was a volunteer for Stonewall in the early days, but they've lost their way and their actions and policies are actively hurting relationships between LGBT people. They are throwing women - and especially lesbians - under the bus.

Safeguards need to be put in place for both women and children. Women's and Lesbians voices have every right to speak and to debate. We have every right to defend our definitions, our words and our sex as a protected characteristic.

I believe we are heading into extremely dangerous territory when we completely shut down debate and consider it all to be phobic.

Open, respectful debate is urgently required, thank you for starting this petition.
