I'd love Stonewall to think of young lesbians, now embarking on journey to sterility and unknown medical side effects. How can this be acceptance of who you are?

I'm a lesbian. Fully support rights of transwomen but sex-specific protected characteristics must stand. It is not possible to change sex.

Why does Stonewall hate biological women and lesbians.

Trans people should be treated with dignity, respect and have full legal protection under law but so should CIS women! There ARE competing rights and vocal trans activists are attempting to silence and erase the lived realities of cis women.

There seems to be no forum for discussion on this without being accused of transphobia

If stonewall wants to continue to claim to be a national voice for lgbt issues then it must acknowledge and respect that there are many different views. All have aright to be expressed and we are all both entitled to be respected and to respect others

I feel a bit frightened by the idea that biological men can turn up in women only spaces just by declaring themselves female. I have nothing against transgender and fully support the rights of any transgendered individuals. But I also have rights and they are being overlooked

Women’s (adult human females) voices must be heard. We will not be silenced anymore. Transwomen are transwomen.

Stop an evil trend which would permit predatory men and paedophile free access to young girls and vulnerable women.

As a transsexual, I believe. Self ID is a disaster for women and girls. It effectively erases sex as a protected category. On top of this, Stonewall has refused to hear the objections, instead mischaracterizing critics of GRA. Stonewall and Ruth Hunt must start listening to women.

When did this campaigning group become one-trick pony? The Charities Commission need to review this new and worrying development.

I am very concerned at the hate & violence around this issue. The model promoted by Stonewall does not support trans people properly, nor non trans women. Stonewall have a duty to look again at the division they are causing and the harm they are doing to everyone. So many hands are outstretched to them & other such activists to try to find a way forward, and are ignored.

Men cannot become women, women cannot become men. To say these things is to tell a lie. To expect me to believe them and reorganise my identity around them is an outrage. To tell children this is is a disgrace. All our bodies are valid and beautiful. Gender is a social construction

What does it mean to be a woman? Just when women are starting to get a voice, it feels like men (male-born) are trying to shut us down.

We each need a clear voice. There's no point in joining all oppressed voices together - otherwise Stonewall should represent black people, disabled people, straight women. This is not to dimimish the significance or oppression of queer people but we have separate identities and can best support each other through strength gained from organising in our own groups.
