Women have always been natural allies of minority communities and in the main wish to support to rights & protection of trans people. This should not be achieved at the expense of impinging on the rights of the most vulnerable, erasing the centrality of biology in the suppression & violence of women; and an open and honest discussion regarding the responsibilities society & parents have to their children & young people. Respect & justice cuts many ways. Reasonable discussion urgency needed & women have a right to participate in that discussion on their own clear & fair-game terms.

It is imperative that debate is allowed regarding these policies.

Stonewall is adopting a totalitarian approach to trans politics which is causing untold damage to women, trans people and children. It must listen to other views on this topic rather than demonizing people who have different opinions. This is an emergency. Stonewall must act now or risk undermining its legacy.

Live and let live is my motto, and I believe in diversity, but the proposals re self ID have not been thought through, there are too many implications and they are all at the expense of women's rights and women's safety

The threats and violence demonstrated toward women and the targeting of lesbians by the trans movement demonstrates that self ID is a dangerous course of action.

As a woman, I feel that my safety, privacy - and right to even speak about such things - are being entirely denied and abused by Stonewall. Their similarly abusive attitude to lesbians is frankly appalling.

Stonewall was founded in 1989 to fight for the civil rights of gay, lesbian and bisexual people. It has played a leading role in advancing these rights, from the abolition of Margaret Thatcher’s hated Section 28, to securing an equal age of consent, civil partnerships and gay marriage.
Since 2015, Stonewall has also campaigned on trans issues. We believe the organisation has made mistakes in its approach. These mistakes are undermining women’s sex-based rights and protections, and damaging the relationship between transsexual people and women - a relationship which had been positive for many years.

It's important that debate on this issue is not shut down, otherwise the only logical conclusion is that there is something to hide. This is a democratic country, with a democratic process.

Who would have thought that we would ever see the day when the leading gay rights group would prefer to support straight white men with a cross-dressing fetish rather than the lesbians who they oppress, attack, abuse, doxx and silence.
Stonewall, take a long, hard look at yourself and see what you have become. You do not speak for me.

Homosexuality is being redifined against gay people's will, without any consultation and without any consideration for their lives and lived experience. The world understands that homosexuality is not a choice, a preference or a fetish and that it is a sexual orientation based on the sexual attraction between two people of same SEX not GENDER. Stonewall is failing in its inability to recognise, respect and safeguard this and in its constant imposition of transgender ideology in the gay and lesbian communities.

it is not transphobic to not want sex with a transwoman - it is lesbianism! Don't applaud corrective rape.

Stonewall is doing a grave disservice to the LGBT community, including transpeople, by foisting the dogma of trans activist extremism on a generally tolerant society. I urge you to reconsider your position and support open debate on the GRA. Limiting discussion cannot help resolve this building conflict of rights.

As a woman and lesbian and gay rights advocate, I can no longer support you Stonewall. Your bullying towards lesbians is disgraceful, I am ashamed now to have once aligned myself with your organisation.
