Stonewall does not represent lesbians. The current push to get trans issues into schools is endangering young vulnerable butch lesbians who may wrongly think they have to be a man!

More time needed to make this fair.

The denial of biological sex within Stonewall's transgender policies in the age of #metoo, fails to acknowledge the structural oppression of women and denies us the right to organise as a sex based class. I fully support the rights of trans people to equality and to live free from violence and discrimination. Silencing people and labelling them as transphobic because they wish to debate these issues is not the answer. It saddens me that I feel the need to remain anonymous in this current climate.

Women don't have penises. Woman = adult human female. Biology isn't bigotry. Females need and deserve male-free/penis-free spaces in vulnerable and intimate situations.

Woman have fought for equality rights for many generations to be now classed as ‘transphobic’ just because we wish to continue giving our younger generation safe spaces

Stonewall has completely lost its way. It has become misogynistic and (ironically!) homophobic but especially lesbophobic. It actively campaigns against women and lesbians. I really hope it finds its way back to its roots.

If you cannot acknowledge sex based rights, then you cannot challenge homophobia or protect gay rights, in fact you are actively campaigning against the rights of women and lesbian women.

Former Stonewall supporter who is dismayed at their constant labelling of anyone who is gender-critical as 'terfs' and 'bigots'. They no longer speak for me.

Self-ID is a nonsense, especially if safety issues are involved. Those who want to transition will do so - and deserve support. There is a debate to be had about these issues. Many cis women are not anti-trans, just concerned about their own identity erosion, this particularly affects lesbians. Who made Ruth Hunt the arbitrator of LGB and T issues? This is not a 'laying down the law' issue, this needs debate and compromise, not least for the trans people who do need support. No-one wants young people to be hurt or isolated, let's talk about how to make things work for everybody.

To continually wave aside the genuine concerns, dismiss the request to debate these concerns and to brand intelligent caring people “transphobic” for expressing those concerns smacks of an inflexible, totalitarian regime intolerant of and rancorous against those that dare to challenge seemingly fixed viewpoints. Maybe Stonewall is worried that to scrutinise these viewpoints would expose their inherent weakness. Well you won’t be able to fend off reason for ever.

I fully support the right of people to self-ID their "gender" as "trans", but not to self-ID their "sex", as this leaves us with no meaningful legal definition of "woman" and therefore no way to enforce or analyse our legal rights as women. It also means we are called "transphobic" for simply being lesbians (ie same-SEX attracted). Stonewall needs to represent LGB rights by upholding the definition upon which our legal rights are based, and by questioning the conversion therapy of encouraging all gender non-conforming children to identify as "trans" and to be put on a pathway to long-term medication and sterilisation. Most of these children would grow up to be lesbian/gay if allowed to go through their natural puberty and sexual maturity

T is not a sexuallity. Stonewall have jumped on a homophobic bandwagon.

I fail to see how the rights of people with genuine gender dysphoria are protected by granting the same rights to any man who simply fancies putting on women’s clothes every so often.

Stonewall have let me down so badly. I have been acrually assaulted by a 'transwoman' who 'passed' while I was drunk and it was dark, I took 'her' back to mine and discov ered she was male, and also had a penis. I was expected to have sex with a male person. I am a lesbian, so obviously I don't go for males. Long story short, I ended up with a black eye for saying no and sticking to no. It could have been worse I guess. However I then read about Hunt basically saying that lesbians SHOULD shag male people otherwise its transphobic. And making out that biological sex is not important. If biological sex is not important and 'gender identity' is what people should be attracted to, thats going against all gay people who have been helped by Stopnewall in the past! Because obviously sex is bloody important. Sorry I got a bit ranty there but its just utterly ridiculous the way Ruth Hunt/Stonewall have gone on over this matter.

Dear Stonewall, Please commit to fostering an atmosphere of respectful debate, rather than demonising as 'transphobic' those who wish to discuss or dissent from Stonewall’s current policies. Sex based rights are MY rights and represent those of us who NEED those specific rights & protections as they are enshrined in Law. Thank you.
