It wasn’t long ago that Stonewall didn’t even include the T in its mission. What changed that it now appears to be their singular goal to uncritically advance many dangerous aspects of trans rights at the expense of LGB?

Dear Stonewall, Since I was in high school you have fought for us, supported us, and represented us. You have been the organisation the UK looks to for guidance on how to accept and protect us. In recent years you have stopped looking out for bisexual and lesbian women. Many of us feel that your prioritisation of trans women to the exclusion of natal women’s rights and protections has lost any sense of balancing the needs of these two groups. Your refusal to engage in respectful discussion about the issues is disappointing and insulting. I no longer support Stonewall financially, and no longer count myself as represented by you. Please reconsider your position of trans ‘acceptance without exceptions’, and consider whether trans women can be fully accepted and honoured as the trans women they are, without erasing the protections of natal women.

Please reconsider this dangerous and undemocratic approach. Women's sex based issues need to be separate from transgender issues, especially for lesbians. The term transphobic is losing any credibility by doing this and is essentially through these processes homophobic and misogynistic.

We must be able to discuss the imications if changes rationally. If you won't engage in debate you can't persuade people to your point of view or find common ground.

I believe the proposed legislation to be ill advised as could be easily abused.

I'm signing because I'm appalled at the mistreatment of women, lesbians and young gender-questioning children at the hands of this extreme and unreasonable new phase of trans activism. I don't think for a second their tactics are going to work out well in the long run, and the sooner we intervene, hopefully the less the damage -- to women, children, lesbians, gays, and trans people too -- will be done.

So sad that Stonewall - the organisation that did so much to educate and teach compassion when the AIDS "epidemic" was raging has now turned into the mouthpiece of the misogynists. Please do not write off our female sex whilst showing support for the genuinely transsexual. There has to be a way around this hateful dilemma.

A well-documented number of men have already got into women only spaces in order to sexually assault women. If those women are important, than self-ID is not a situation that should be sought. Women should have a right to spaces free from biological men.

Stonewall is unaccountable and does not represent the interests and needs of LGB people. The only way to reform it is to de-fund it. Starve it until it changes.
