Stop trying to erase women from public life

This is an issue which had many facets. Can Stonewal please acknowledge the complexity of many of the issues here.

At last, the voices of reason! They are so brave to speak up, when so many others have been intimidated into silence.

Women's rights and transsexual rights could perfectly co-exist. Sadly, mainstream trans activists seem uninterested in that. Lesbians especially seem to suffer. Stonewall needs to speak up.

Please listen Stonewall.

You have gone wrong. You have good intentions but seem to be blind to the sort of people you are advocating for. They are violent, aggressive bullies.

The current transgender rights activism is both homophobic and misogynistic

I believe a balanced and reasonable debate where everyone gets a say is long overdue. Surely this is not too much to ask?

Can we please stop this insanity and start listening to sensible, educated voices rather than a political pressure group who are now solely fighting their own agenda whilst masquerading as representative of the whole lgbt community. They do not speak for me.

A trans woman is a trans woman is a trans woman. A woman is a woman is a woman. Biology matters. The reduction of ‘woman’ to the level of pure abstraction that anyone can inhibit is wrong and unhelpful to the advancement of both women’s rights and tran’s rights. Equal rights for all, but women do not have dicks. ‘Girl dicks’ are plain and simply just ol’ meat and potato dicks - the male reproductive organ, in other words. Trans people occupy a space between genders, neither wholly male or female, and will always be a part of queer culture. The fight for rights can be won on that platform, without making the claims to be ‘real’ women. Mainstream society will never look at them in that way, regardless of how much social pressure and bullying tactics are applied. And besides, why care about that! Celebrate the difference of being trans, and of being outside of mainstream culture. Acceptance can be gained on this level without the need to go on an all out assault on the concept of womanhood, which is misogynist btw, and leads to absurd positions, which are embarrassing to say the least.

Women's rights are being heavily undermined by trans activists and are extremely harmful to social cohesion between women and the LGBT community. This has got to stop, including trying to force anyone who isn't trans to use the term 'cis', or to force women (or men) to share private spaces on the basis that a person 'feels' different, with or without psychiatric evidence in support, or any intention to change their physical sex. These changes are being forced upon people on all sides by a minority group, and engenders inflammatory debate, and further derision between communities. It has to stop, and Stonewall should NOT be supporting this.

Thank you for your efforts to try to ensure reason, balance and debate are allowed around a complex issue.

The rights of women (51% of the population) should not be put in jeopardy in order to give more rights to transgender people. This is not transphobic to say so, it is common sense!

No one should be discriminated against for sex colour, or religion. Who is to say that these things are wrong.?

Self Id is just plain wrong and a dangerous threat to girls/women’s protected status. Biologically men/women canny change sex they can only perform an alternative gender, which is ok and I defend any Trans persons right to perform how they choose.
