I have in the past supported Stonewall for its sterling work in standing up for the rights of lesbian, gay and bisexual people. I also support the human rights of trans people and am pleased that Stonewall supports them. However, more recently, I am aware that Stonewall has downplayed significant concerns around how women's sex-based rights are already being impacted by a thoughtless obsession with an ideological agenda that places trans rights above those of women. Lesbians are being erased and told they are transphobic for raising such concerns especially around their choice of partner, as are straight women. I hope that Stonewall will actually listen to the voices of women and our allies, gay men.

As the Mother of two daughters, one of whom will be trapped at home without access to female only spaces I am hoffified at your total disregard for the safety of women and girls. Stop putting the wishes of a few above the rights of many.

This is not an anti trans agenda, this a stand against the erasure women’s rights.

The divisiveness on this issue has to be stopped and Stonewall should not be a part of stopping debate in a so-called democracy. respectful debate of different viewpoints is a healthy thing to happen and must happen. Lesbian rights are important as well as womens and childrens rights more generally. It is clear that legilsative changes that go without proper debate and scrutiny by the public are far more likely to have unintended consequences.

It is critical to have a public debate on this issue, without accusing people of hate crimes or silencing them. Everybody's human rights and protection from violence needs to be considered. Women and girls are a vulnerable group, there is hardly a news programme that goes by without an incident of male violence against women featured. It is not transphobic to point how gender self ID could be used by men to gain access to women only spaces with the precise intention of causing harm to women and girls.

Example scenario: If/When serial rapist cabbie John Worboys is released from prison he could change to female online and access women's spaces! He drugged women and carried a 'rape kit around with him. Would this also mean his previous crimes are erased? Think about what you are doing to women and girls. Wouldn't happen? Think Karen White and Jacinta Brooks! This, I believe, will go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes ever made if selfsex id is allowed. Medical data/ crime statistics will also be skewed. Shocking! I've signed anonymously as I have seen the venom from transactivists.

I signed the petition but your only real option is to defund then replace any organization that has betrayed you to push the trans agenda at the cost of gay rights.

Lesbians have been marginalized always. Centering Trangender people erases us all together. Keep it up and the coalition will break up.

As a women and the mother and grandmother of girls I want to see female safe spaces kept safe for females and fully trans females self identification with out medical certification will open up thses safe space to all kinds of abuse stomewall has done somefantastic work in the past but has lost the plot on this one

I fully support women and girls right to define their own sex and lives. The GRA opens up the protected characteristic of sex to those who were not initially within it. Stonewall has to review it's position on this matter. It is undermining lesbians and gay men and inherently misogynyistic.

I’ve worked and campaigned all my life for people’s rights. I’ve respected and supported Stonewall since it’s beginnings. I belive you’ve lost your way on this one. Biology and socially constructed gender are not the same thing. Let’s have reasoned debate about this and stop vilifying those who disagree with self identification and this confusion of gender and biology. We need to protect the rights of ALL groups in society. Self identification stops us being able to measure and therefore close the gap on gender inequalities. It prevents vulnerable women and children having the safe spaces that were fought so hard for. We need to support everyone and protect all groups from abuse, but not elevate the needs of one group above everyone else’s and promote illogical and circular thinking. You’re doing the establishment’s job for it!

Safeguarding, consent, gillick competency in childmedical decision-making, legislative change to improve life for one group should never erase the progressive achievements of 50% of the globe. Women are a sex class, murdered trafficked and tortured daily because we are a sex class. Listen to women, stop threatening and abusing us. We grow new humans, and because of that we are globally abused. Please start listening and together we can ensure we are All safe to be who we are. Change society, not bodies.

Stonewall has lost its way. It used to be about gay rights... then it became, first about the right of gay people to get married, just like straights, and now about the right of men to declare thermselves women. Because they just are, right? And anyone who disagrees is a bigot...

hmmm. People's Front of Judea anyone? And for the record I'm a paid up member of the Labour Party which I assume in the current febrile religio-political context makes this comment anti-semitic as well. Wrong side of the looking glass. World gone mad. Bury me in an anthill.
