Self ID erodes the protections that women have struggled to win. Women are being silenced, afraid for their jobs and security. Gender is a social construct - there is nothing wrong with being a "feminine" man, or a "butch" woman, but an individual cannot change their sex. Arbitrarily saying "I am a woman now, and you MUST all treat me as such" is ludicrous. Stonewall should be ashamed.

As a survivor of male violence in both childhood and young adulthood, I now recognise abuse tactics from a mile off.
The anti-science, anti-reality based ideology held by Stonewall prioritises, enables and promotes the abuse tactics of dangerous misogynistic men over 1) the physical, mental and emotional safety and well-being of all biological women and girls 2) the needs of genuine transsexuals to access evidenced based support for their dysphoria, 3) the rights of young homosexuals (particularly vulnerable autistic ones) to be accepted and flourish as such rather than be pressurised to become ‘straight’ trans people, (particularly young lesbians who may also be fleeing the horrors of the patriarchy) 4) the rights of lesbians to assert sexual boundaries 5) the rights of all women to assert boundaries 6) the rights of intersex people and people from ethnic minority groups not to have their existence belittled, appropriated and misused in justification of this ideology (sex is not a spectrum and this approach is not intersectional) 7) the rights of disabled people to be valued and respected rather than be excluded from the debate and devalued given the implication of this ideology is that they could choose to identify out of their differently abled bodies.
Ultimately, the only parties that benefit from this cult like, reality denying thinking are misogynists, whether fetishisic or ‘woke’, and those making huge sums of money from its promotion. As Stonewall is now clearly such a beneficiary and uses abuse tactics to silence debate, it is no longer fit for purpose. Please do the right thing by the people you are MEANT to be advocating for and rethink your stance.

Transgender people are equal, but Stonewall should not enable those who would misuse trans rights for misogyny. We need to acknowledge the rights of all women.

I feel strongly that trans rights are important however I have serious concerns that an agressive subset of trans activists have hijacked the agenda to the detriment of the equally important rights of women and lesbians in particular.

Supporting trans rights should NOT trample over women’s rights. Failure to acknowledge certain aspect of trans activism has caused a huge rift within the LGBT community. I was a trans ally. I can no longer support this current ideology.

Being Anti GRA freforms and pointing out the ways those like Karen White will and have abused the loopholes is not being Anti Trans.
They are not the same thing.
Silence is very telling at times.

Think, there are 6000+ signatures here, surely it can't all be a small group of "radfems", maybe it's an indicator that something is very wrong with Self I.D.

Who ever is currently advising you needs to be reviewed, they clearly to not have the best interest of Transsexuals or homosexuals at heart.

A rebuttal of Self Sex ID is not transphobia. Self Sex ID erodes the safeguards and protections of single sex environments for women from male bodied people. And allows women and girls to enjoy and compete in sport.

All voices and views must be heard. Trans people have needs and rights but so do women. Trans people are the minority over women who are half the population. Our sex, our safe places s our identity and safety must be considered

There has to be free and open debate without fear of legal or social recriminations. The rights of one group cannot be allowed to be pursued whilst at the same time smothering the right of another to have its say.

Men are not entitled to sex. They are not entitled to women's spaces or to women at all, and men calling themselves or being trans doesn't void this truth. People who think there's some sort of debate as to whether trans rhetoric is harmful to women and particularly lesbian women are misogynist.

Reached 50, a black working class, heterosexual woman who genuinely feels silenced for the first time. Frightened to say what I want about my opposition to Self ID and the blatant misogyny in the trans activist movement. I feel totally let down by Stonewall. I think back to me and my friends in our early 20’s, Black, Irish and Asian,!all heterosexual but exploring and understanding our experiences and the oppression we each faced. I remember us being out there with stonewall fighting alongside our lesbian and gay sisters and brothers with a common value and believe that Section 28 was totally unacceptable and homophobic. I and my friends challenged our families, friends and colleagues because we understood when we raise each other up we all win. I cannot believe that stonewall is the same organisation. Women have never needed to be as vocal and determined as we do now, for ourselves, our girls, our herstory and all the survivors of Male violence, oppression, cohersion and silencing that women experience all over the world, I sign this today to ask Stonewall to reflect back on its story and remember who stood with them, we are here, it is I, and her and her and him. Don’t silence and attack us.

I used to be an enthusiastic supporter of Stonewall. Not any more -your attitude towards women with legitimate opinions disgusts me. Not another penny...
