Important issues here on debate without intimidation, have seen too many instances of such towards individuals and women’s groups trying to organise informed discussion- this is a main concern, and safety fundamentally.

the aggression used by Stonewall is utterly unacceptable as is their closing down of any debate about what is a very serious subject. If they persist with this it will backfire and create issues for the trans community when before there were none.

Self-identification as a women will fully functional male genitalia will undoubtedly put more women at risk in female-only spaces. There is no doubt that bad actors can and have taken advantage of trans status to harass/molest/rape women where self-identification exists. To say that "some women have a penis" is to attempt to justify the denial of autogynephilia - condition plainly held by transwomen who want to keep their penises. No serious transsexual would wish to keep a penis.

Open debate is essential (on any and every subject) and those with questions or expressing (any) opinion should not be labelled and/or silenced.

Gender flexibility has gone far enough

Much more research is needed into this whole area before such far-reaching changes can be enacted.

Please allow respectful debate on these complex issues that may have serious ramifications for wider society

Protect women's rights to their spaces and to their sexuality.

Please understand that you are not encouraging support for your chosen lifestyle by abusing and denigrating natal women. I have no objection to how anyone chooses to live but it should not be at the expense of others.

The erosion off sex protection for women will have huge implications that will affect all society. Once that bell is rung it can’t be undone. Please consider why women have protected spaces and enter into a discussion with us about our fears.

The debate on this issue has been Stonewalled so effectively - it is a disgrace that the subjugation of the rights of women and girls to the “rights” of a minority of men is not front page news. Please let’s stop the insanity.

I fully support the statement and intentions as outlined in this petition and urge Stonewall to engage in meaningful debate, recognising the varied and valid views expressed, including those that stand opposed to their own, and to step back from labelling those who disagree with them in an effort to shut down democratic debate.

Biological women deserve human rights. This is insanity. How dare men force their way into the few rights we have. Utter cowards. They don't want to BE women they want to OWN women. Leave us alone. We are all sick of it. Billions of us!

Healthy debate involving all sides of the argument is vital for good democracy. It is extremely worrying when any group uses bullying tactics to stifle debate, particularly from groups who have suffered harrasement and bullying themselves.

Is life not hard enough?

For anyone who heard Stonewall Chief Exec Ruth Hunt's dismissive remarks on R4 recently, it is clear there is no chance that Stonewall will end its bullying and silencing of gender-critical voices under her leadership. Hunt has got to go, and she should take her Politburo...oops, Transgender Advisory Board with her. Bravo to Jonny Best and the rest of the founding signatories.
