As a retired child psychiatrist, I have direct experience of the complexity of trans issues. I do not think that it is reasonable to remove the medical dimension from transgender politics. Stonewall should not equate trans experience with the history of gay and lesbian struggles for acceptance.

I wholeheartedly agree with the points outlined in this petition. It is shocking to see how women have been bullied and silenced when trying to discuss how changes to the GRA could affect their privacy, dignity and safety. Shame on you Stonewall for being complicit in this.

Let women speak about their rights and safety of themselves and their children.

Broaden the definition of men. Inclusivity should not be at the expense of women. Lesbians should not feel they must accept a male body as lesbian

This is a complex subject and people must be allowed to voice their sincerely held views.

Beyond belief, this vicious stupidity: a person with his/her genitals intact is a man/woman. There is no need to debate it.

I think this is a very difficult issue and I struggle to see how best to improve circumstances for trans people and to protect vulnerable women from unscrupulous men who may seek to exploit new gender laws. I would like to see a respectful debate on both sides without shouts of trans phobia or misogyny.

Please listen to what is, the voice of the public are asking for, open discussion on very important issues. We are transexuals, men, woman, black white, Asian, straight bisexual and homosexual and we are all together asking for you to talk with us. We are not a small group, we are the public, we are concerned and we need to openly talk.

But for every "nice" trans woman (who may or may not have still got a penis but that's not my business ) there are 100's of male bodied perverts out there who do like, at the very least, making women feel uncomfortable and at worse, may be looking for ways to actively harm them. Why is my wish to have safe, private single sex spaces less important than the wishes of those who want to invade them?

Women must be listened to without the usual suspects crying 'bigots'. They attempt to silence any discussion and accuse those who disagree of being so-called 'transphobic', whatever the hell that is.

Please reconsider your transgender policies and approach

We are biological creatures not just minds take in a body. So biology is central to who we are - to us, and to everyone who knows and loves us!

Women have the right to be listened to without bigots trying to silence them by trotting out 'transphobic'

I've never before had to sign a petition anonymously but thanks to the risk of being accused of being a terf, I've had to now. Shame on you Stonewall to promote and support a Big Brother culture where those with a different viewpoint are silenced, vilified, threatened and accused of bigotry - you're no longer an organisation that stands up for myriad minority groups but just another group trying to get us 'little women' to shut up again.

Stonewall's place is not centre stage. You are not the arbiters of every sexual issue. get out of the way of people who want reasoned discussion and debate.

I am really sad that men in drag are trying to silence women.

trans.woman = XY.woman trans.man = XX.man or have I got that the wrong way round again?

Womens hard won rights are being undermined, mostly by genetic men.

Please do not diminish women’s rights and safety
