sex cannot be changed. Birth certificates are legal documents that state facts. Uncomfortable facts are still true. Women do not have penises. Lesbians should not, in 2018, be forced to explain AGAIN that they have no sexual interest in male bodied people, and an organisation that claims to represent lesbians should be doing everything possible to ensure that recently and hard fought for rights are not removed.

People should be free to identify with whichever gender they wish. But gender identity is not the same as biological sex. A birth certificate is a record of biological sex, not of gender identity. Therefore, a birth certificate should not be altered in the cases of a person changing gender but not changing their sex. Access to single-sex spaces should be based on biological sex and not on gender identity in order to protect individuals of that biological sex.

You've lost the plot, Stonewall, and turned on the constituency that made you what you are. Your trans umbrella ideology is homophobic and misogynistic. Whoever is the driving force behind this (looking at you, Ruth Hunt) is driving the organisation into a wall.

Stone wall are quite literally stonewalling any opposition to their entrenched and narrow views which are potentially harmful in particular to women, children, and lesbians

Do not remove all of the safeguards from the Gender Recognition Act.

Biological sex is real. Females are subject to discrimination, prejudice, objectification and violence on account of being female. We must retain the language necessary to continue fighting against the oppression of females.

Gender is a regressive social construct

A male calling himself female is an outright lie which I refuse to accept as truth. A male identifying as female is true, but that is no reason why the rest of us females have to have OUR rights trampled on and ignored. I do NOT want female spaces invaded by males however they identify themselves.

Primary School aged children are under considerable pressure with modern social media to develop friendships and act in way far above their age. They are far too young to be presented with transgender choices which will effect them for life. The current system in a bit unwieldy and doesn't make it easy to switch gender, but its not a discission to be taken lightly or casualy. The current need for medical referral does much in filtering out Pediophiles who in some cases see an advantage in pursuing their activities if they present as a different sex. Legislation is introduced by politicians in responce to perceived problems, often for good and just reasons and concerns, but will be inforced by people others with their own adjendas. Unless laws are necessary, essential and needed it is better for government not to interfear. I feel strongly that we should let children be children for as long as possible, and that we have an adequate system for handling the exceptions where a person finds themselves living in the wrong body. Who ever sais it should be possible to easily enter into gender reorientation and maybe the numbers are suggesting that maybe the current system "ain't broke!"

As a Lesbian I couldn't be happier to sign this petition. Stonewall have no right to pretend we are one homogeneous group that all think the same. I find Stonewalls policies and position to be deeply homophobic and can't see it anything more than a corporate lobbying group so far removed it has become from its original intentions.

I believe that the toxic political correctness which Stonewall has allowed itself to become increasingly associated with could be used as an excuse to persecute LGBT people in other, more traditional parts of the world. It's a gift to homo/transphobes. In this country, the public are becoming thoroughly sick and tired of a political correctness that labels them as bigots and threatens with legal action if they even slightly depart from the official norm. At this rate, Stonewall could become an instrument of oppression rather than liberation.

Self id is a dangerous concept as it is open to abuse.

The rights of one group do not override the rights of another, your position is putting the rights of transgender above all others and that is not what stonewall should be at about.
