Given all their good work over so many years, Stonewall really do need to open their eyes.

One can respect that transgender people deserve dignity and respect without agreeing to give up the right to female protections

Stonewall needs more people like Jonny Best on board. The organisation should be standing up for lesbians, not driving them away.

Trans-rights don't have to come at the expenses of women's right and children's safeguard. You are loosing allies by making unreasonable demands.

Needs debate. Stop dismissing women as transphobic for wanting to protect their safe spaces

I want every one to have the right to live their best life, as they choose it, but debate needs to be open or important considerations will be missed. I want cooperation not separation to find the best way forward, and that involves discussion, and listening on both sides of any debate.

One of the saddest things about this "debate" is the way Stonewall is setting up anyone who questions the dogma against trans people where in reality, most have been sympathetic and supportive and desirous of working through the issues together

There needs to be discussion around this topic, the current trajectory is losing the goodwill of people in areas greater just the trans movement. The wilful denial of reality by Stonewall gives homophobes and racists an in with people who normally would never listen to them.

Frightening to see how Stonewall have turned into such an unapproachable, ideological, uninclusive organisation after so many years as the exact opposite.

Stonewall's glossary of terms is filled with errors:
https://www.stonewall.org.uk/help-advice/glossary-terms
For one thing, they conflate gender with sex, e.g. in their definitions of "transgender man" as "female-to-male" and "transgender woman" as "male-to-female". These errors could be corrected by rewriting those definitions.
But the more fundamental problem is they have no definitions of "man" or "woman". This omission cannot be corrected. Trans ideology based on "gender identity" cannot state definitions of "man" and "woman" in writing because their circular definitions cannot stand public scrutiny. And lacking written definitions of "man" and "woman" makes this whole project a steaming pile of bull.

This seems one sided at present. Building lot of resentment and conflict. Bring in women's voices to this debate

You are relying on your good name because of the work you did for gay men and lesbians. But no longer. All your good work is undermined if you cannot be clear on what a woman is, what a man is, and that homosexuality is same SEX attraction; not same-gender. Your misleading advice to schools and other institutions is shameful. You are being given large amounts of money to further this mis-guided, belief-based agenda

I'm genuinely concerned that this is going to undermine homosexual people.

Your uncritical support of the transgender ideology is hurting young women, who are identifying as transgender at unprecedented rates. Many of them would grow up to be lesbians, and some to be straight or bisexual women. This is a tragedy that must be stopped. Our daughters need a chance to learn to love and accept their bodies, instead of being misled that sex can be changed and their growing pains will be erased once they transition to male.

Stonewall has gone down a ridiculous road, managing to be both homophobic and heterophobic while promoting a new conversion therapy. It's frightening to think how my playing with both GI Joe and Flower Fairies as a child would be interpreted and the consequences it could have .

We’ve fought so hard over decades. Now it feels like all that is about to be undone. Young lesbians need (cis)women only spaces, just as trans folk need safe and friendly spaces. We have more in common that that which divides us.

I am a gay male in my 30s who has always admired, supported and felt supported by Stonewall. I am really disappointed by the uncritical, unquestioning and censorious direction the organisation has taken since its shift towards trans issues. Lesbian, gay and bisexual voices are being sidelined and dissenting voices silenced. Particularly shocking is its refusal to take on the serious concerns of lesbian women. I no longer feel that Stonewall can speak for me. More importantly though, its inflexible stances and the current direction of its activism will only damage the wider LGBT community and the reputation of the organisation itself.
