Women deserve single sex spaces and protections. Trans people deserve protections and rights. The two sometimes conflict. This is a complex and nuanced area which needs debate - a dogmatic approach is unhelpful and damaging. Let’s talk it out...

The issue for me is 'safeguarding' for both children and women. There will always be predators who take advantage of loopholes in new legislation, which Stonewall and other LGBT organisations seem to be completely disregarding and glossing over.

I am an lgbt ally of many years and I have trans friends. However to acknowledge that some trans activists are giving the rest of them a bad name is not to be a terf.

I aggree with the petition, to me what's going on is asif the far left and the far right have combined to cause mayhem

There should be an open discussion permitted about the conflict of rights inherent in this issue. No one who is aware of male rapists (who then claim to be transitioning to transwomen) being put in women's prisons could deny that there is in fact a conflict of rights.

Sexual orientation is real. Genderal orientation isn't. Lesbians don't like dick.

stonewall needs to remind itself of the meaning of the word gay. Attracted to the same biological sex! as a gay man i am being referred to as a transphobe and a dick fetishist, for refusing to accept that a gay man can have a vagina. I WILL NOT HAVE MY SEXUALITY REDUCED TO A FETISH

As a gay man I feel that we need to make a stand to the Trans lobbies eroding of the advances in gay equality.

I am tired of all the attacks on feminists and lesbians. Why not ask gay men if they would be attracted to a trans man who had a female body? I cannot explain it other than the utmost misogyny.

Women, who were born women, must be allowed to have their views heard on this issue and be part of a civilised caring debate. It is not acceptable in any situation, whether to do with race, gender, class or sexuality, to have your experience, views or concerns dismissed. Equal rights apply in all directions.
