I want Tonewall to address its attitudes to Trans people

Pls review transgender policies

Painful seeing young butch lesbians going trans, causing themselves long-term health problems, why is Stonewall not fighting the sexism and homophobia that makes that preferable to being a beautiful proud butch dyke? Why is Stonewall not fighting the trans incels telling us to open up to 'lady dick' and complaining about the 'cotton ceiling'?! Why is Stonewall calling us transphobes for wanting lesbian spaces that are women only when the definition of lesbian means exactly that! I'm cool with you trans people, you do your thing, but you can't redefine what a woman is and you don't have the right to colonise women's spaces. Let's campaign for your needs to be met without trampling on women's hard won rights. Gender is a social performance, it is not real, gender is Sexism. The body is a fact, Sex is material reality. Dysphoria is a symptom of distress in a deeply messed up world. We need to dismantle the oppression of gender to free us all to be be ourselves beyond sexism.

the damage to young people is the ultimate horror of your unthinking actions on trans ideology. It is not possible to be born in the wrong body, nor is it right to tell children that they can literally change that body to be 'right'. Eugenics really.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to enter debate without accusations of phobic and toxic behaviour. It has to be time to open communications without taking offence.

Real women need safe spaces.

Yes there must be open discussion about this without fear of being labeled transphobic. Women and girls must be safe - we have fought for this forever. 48% of trans prisoners have been convicted of sexual assault so don't tell me that there it's no difference between men and women.

Please, stop the madness. Please. The highly politicised transgender agenda is as an offence to women, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transsexuals and intersexed people. It is also an offence to common sense, rationality, science, good policy making and social relations. Please rethink your stance, Stonewall.

Just as previous signers have said; LGBTQI right are, of course, important, but not at the expense of endangering women's rights and safety. We need to find ways to co-exist in respect and safety.

Transgender individuals should be shown respect and care and be provided with support. Trans women’s needs, however, should not trump women’s needs. I find much trans activism to be viciously anti-woman - attempting to usurp and erase women’s identity and culture. I am not a ‘ciswoman’ or a ‘menstruator’: I am a woman and the proud granddaughter of a suffragette and the mother of three children who were conceived and nurtured in my body. My children did not come out of a ‘front hole’; they were not ‘chestfed’. Shame on those pushing trans rights at the expense of women. Mais plus ca change ....

Tired of being silenced, censored and ignored. Politics and the media have told me, quite clearly, that possessing a vulva makes me "nothing". My grandmother campaigned for women's rights in the early 20th Century, and in the early 21st century, here I am, watching them being stripped from women and handed to men in lipstick.

Rational, realistic petition. Signing as a left-wing, lifelong supporter of gay rights, troubled by the narrow margins of gender that are implied by the 'suggestion' of feeling the need to change gender. Believe you should instead broaden the categories male and female so people don't need to disown their biology. Troubled by implication it's having on gay teens, troubled by surgical and hormonal treatment being given to those under the age of consent for everything else.

I am a member of the LGBT. I’m a progressive. I am an Athiest. I love science and reason. I am supportive of trans individuals. I do NOT support the currently ascendant trans ideology and its illiberal extremist adherents . I didn’t escape one toxic faith-based belief system to be compelled to submit to another one.

Stonewall is damaging the gay & lesbian community eith its support of transgender ideology. Trans women are not women. They are biological men. This is not transphobic as it is based on irrefutable scientific facts where a human can't change their biological sex, skeleton development or chromosomes & every cell in their body. Insisting that trans women are women is a cruel lie and conflicts with lesbians & biological women's rights to privacy, dignity & safety.
