It’s not divisive to think of all rights. You are forgetting women, and that is wrong.

Please be truly inclusive.

When your policies threaten to demolish women's rights, force conversion therapy and corrective rape on lesbians, and remove the material requirements for transition which currently protect transsexuals, you really need to think again. You are empowering a group of entitled men, most of whom are fetishists, at the expense of your core constituency.

I have been a long time supporter of Stonewall, of LGBT rights in general and of women’s rights. I believe that Stonewall has done fantastic work but has got things wrong on the issue of gender recognition, and in particular its definition of transphobia, which stifles legitimate debate. Please consider these respectful and genuine concerns.

Please consider using your huge influence and vital connections to achieve something genuinely inclusive, rather than supporting the dreadful misogyny that is characterising so much done in your name now

Why are you promoting regressive stereotypes under the guise of equalities. Gender is women's oppression and men's repression and needs to be challenged not embraced.

As a bisexual woman I feel really let down by Stonewall. I'm scared for any young gay and lesbian children who are now facing a lifetime of hormones and surgery as a result of this dangerous rhetoric.

Sex-based rights exist for one reason: male bodies systematically hurt female bodies. Stop dismissing the concerns of women and girls.

Don't you see it? Your autocratic decision to defend and pursue transgender rights at the expense of women's rights and lesbian identities has legitimised bullying, silencing, misogyny and homophobia against lesbians. You help to deny open, respectful, democratic debate among equals. PLEASE change your stance. See that you may be mistaken. Together we can retrieve the situation.

Gay and lesbian people have for decades been at the forefront of challenging man made notions of gender, so it is both confusing and dismaying to see organisations such as Stonewall now embracing this regressive ideology of gender identity. You and your policies are responsible for this situation where men are able to rape women incarcerated by the state, where male violence is recorded as female violence, and where lesbians are called transphobic for asserting their same-sex attraction. Meanwhile thousands of teenage girls want to get their breasts cut off and you think this is something to be celebrated. You have utterly lost your way and are now an organisation to be opposed at all costs.

Because I believe that this is a matter of 'identity' and not 'sexuality' politics, and am confused as to why Stonewall is promoting trans rights at the expense of the rights of women, lesbian, straight and bi, and of the rights of gay men too. To deny biology is to deny sexual attraction and orientation. To deny women's biology is to erase us. I respected and believed in the work you did, Stonewall. I used to have a standing order to donate (and for the record, though it's irrelevant, I'm a straight woman). No longer. Please reconsider your policy on self-id before women's rights and very definition are erased.

This is crucial

By closing down any debate and reinforcing outdated gender stereotypes to define self identity, Stonewall are putting the rights of individuals back to the stone age. Oppression is not healthy, a totalitarian approach with no discussion is the stuff of Orwellian nightmares.

Please do reconsider your approach. We can’t try to bolster the rights of one vulnerable group by taking them from another.

Open honest debate is all that is required

The gender recognition act in my opinion should not be amended to include gender self definition. If it were to be amended to include gender self definition then I have the honest held belief it would be the wrong road to go down.

4400% = the sharp rise in young girls visiting gender clinics unhappy with their bodies and wanting to mutilate them. How can you, if you have any conscience at all, not review policies that are harming children, women and the very rights of the people you supposedly support? Lesbians, gay men and transsexuals are being thrown under a bus for an ideology that is both intolerant, nonsensical and dangerous. I cannot believe I am signing a petition to beg you, Stonewall, to reconsider your damaging stance but here we are. And this time? You are very much on the wrong side of history.

To tell boys that traditionally female personality traits make them Trans, reinforces the dangerous ideas of toxic masculinity.

Standing up for the rights of girls and women does NOT mean 'anti-trans'. Stop demonising worried women.

Stonewall seems incapable pf listening to the many views that exist on this subject. As a Lesbian I feel totally unrepresented by the organisation. I have been trying to establish dialogue for a whole year to no avail. Either talk with us all or get the L out of the alphabet and carry on representing the rest
