Important to support women caught up in this. Teenage girls, lesbians and women wanting male free spaces.

Banning debate around this does you no favours...makes the trans rights agenda look like some kind of trans cult fundamentalist dogma...is this what you want?

Please stop silencing women's voices in the expression of their legitimate concerns. By your present stance you are allowing free reign to misogyny of the worst kind. It isn't a good look.

Please stop, think and listen. Closing down debate will only create greater division. Engage the arguments.

Stonewall you need to start listening to women and stop running away from debate on this. What you are doing is deeply disturbing and will have many long term unintended and misogynistic intended consequences. Stop this madness before it goes any further.

Hi - I’m not an expert in this field. I’m a cis gender heterosexual woman. I have always considered myself an ally to LGBT and I want everyone to be able to live in safety and dignity. However I am alarmed by 1) self id for gender allowing access to women’s only spaces. I fear this will make all woman - cis and trans - vulnerable to men abusing the system and 2) the fact that expressing this view could see me labelled transphobic and debate closed down. This seems entirely wrong headed. We need a compromise and we need to be able to debate this publicly and respectfully. Please forgive me if I have used any unacceptable terminology- this area is a minefield but we need to be able to talk about. Let’s be kind and understanding of each other’s point of view.

Stonewall’s approach to trans equality has become incredibly divisive and damaging. So many people in the LGBT community - and women in general - who support and defend trans people’s right to live lives free from harassment and bullying are being shut down and labelled ‘bigots’ just because they don’t sign up to the totalitarian ‘identity’ politics Stonewall is pushing. Stonewall is undoing *years* of valuable work, and community building. Please, stop. You’re not building ‘inclusion’, you’re creating a club. And the people you are excluding are the people who have supported and relied on you - you need to listen to them.

Stonewall has fallen foul of radical social-constructionists on the far left. The scientific fact is that Sex is biologically-driven. Moreover 'gender' is used a synonym for sex amongst the vast majority of the population. Stonewall need to stop representing the radical leftwing view as if it were the mainstream view, and stop demonising those who disagree with them as bigoted.

In the 70s as a member of my local Switchboard I befriended Male to Female Transsexuals, Transvestites and one man who wore make-up & women's clothes but didn't identify as either. The behaviour of these so-called 'Trans' activists feels like a kick in the teeth. That Stonewall supports this anti-Lesbian bullying is appalling. We need women-only spaces, esp refuges, and we need Lesbian-only spaces too.

Hopefully this will lead to some proper analysis, no more blanket rejection of rational, evidenced, genuine concerns of women.

It took me years to come out as a lesbian. Shame about my same-sex attraction nearly killed me and I wasted years of my life trying to be straight. My same sex attraction is not a preference. A daisy opens to the sun. Pointing a torch at the moon and calling it 'the sun' will not make the daisy's petals unfurl. It's not anti-moon to say that a daisy responds to the sun. It's not anti-sun to say that a moth is drawn to the light of the moon. My exclusive attraction to female-bodied humans does not make me transphobic. Stand up for me, please, Stonewall, alongside my trans sisters and brothers. I will not be ashamed again.
