Stonewall's stance is actively sowing division between different groups. You no longer represent us lesbians and you don't even represent the views of all trans people.

There is more than one viewpoint on this subject. We must be allowed to air our concerns without being accused of hate. I'm incensed that Stonewall would seek to redefine homosexuality. How can it have come to this?

There has to be an approach which meets the needs of all without compromising the safety of any. Surely discussion is the best way to bring people together to find this?

Until very recently women and transsexual individuals have held each other with respect. The transgender movement appears to almost want to destroy that by employing such aggressive tactics in order to silence women who dare speak out about their concerns about their sex based rights. This undermines what so many women have fought so long for to have equally. We can respect someone’s chosen gender whilst protecting sex based rights. It is not transphobic to suggest that. We have different biological requirements and for those who have been sexually abused by those of the opposite sex they are deeply uncomfortable letting someone of the opposite sex (not gender) into their space. The transgender movement ignores the suffering of many biological females who may have been sexually abused or struggle with an aspect of their biology by implying their needs are greater without any sense of empathy or sympathy. In order to move forward healthy debate needs to be encouraged, a compromise needs to be found and agreed. Women should not be silenced and immediately deemed bigots, a notion which is highly ironic given the struggle women have had throughout the years in order to be seen as equal.

Stop endangering women’s rights by promoting self determination at all costs. Women and in particular lesbians are being thrown under the bus and vulnerable girls are being encouraged to mutilate themselves because they don’t feel they fit in. This is madness.

Gender essentialism whether it is located in the body or the mind is regressive. There is no “woman’s brain” or “man’s brain” no “women’s interests” or “male talents”. This has caused a horrible schism amongst women, and amongst lesbians and gay men. Safeguarding of all vulnerable persons will suffer because of the hostility of the debate. Trans rights will be plunged backwards by a generation of self ID becomes abused by predators. Please take a less hardline approach to these complex questions of rights. Nuance and discussion are so important for everyone.

Men's sexual rights and the right to identify outside of your material reality are NOT HUMAN RIGHTS. Stand for those whose material reality of sex, sexuality, faith, disability mean they face systemic oppression

It’s obvious that trans rights are human right campaign is a money maker and stonewall has become big business. The feelings of transwomen are being held higher than the rights of women’s to dignity and privacy in sensitive situations, the rights of women and girls to fair sports competitions and the rights of lesbians to define themselves as same sex attracted.

Trans people obviously need to be protected from discrimination, but this must not be at the expense of the protection of other groups. The inane "transwomen are women" mantra effectively erases "woman" as a sex class in a sexually dimorphic mammalian species and, with it, the long fought for sex-based rights and protections. Women have opposed the proposed GRA changes, and *only* women have the right to compromise their current rights and protections.

Contemporary trans activism is a disaster on so many levels, not least for transgendered people themselves. Vital that advocacy organisations take a step back and have a good look at what it is they’re actually promoting.

Trans people's rights deserve to be respected ... they are. However trans women are not women, women are still fighting for their rights. I can only give an analogy to the recent ruling on civil partnerships for mixed sex couples. This ruling does not disadvantage anyone, a new category is recognised i.e. mixed sex civil partnerships. Gay couples are not asked to agree that heterosexual couples are gay. So please stop asking women to agree that trans women are women, what is so wrong with being a trans woman? Another example, a girl's football team, doing ok, but say you can replace some or all of the girls with trans girls who are stronger, and will give the team an advantage. Well if I was the coach I would, and then where do girls go, create another league, a second class league. Please respect the rights of women.

Stonewall is undermining what it has stood for and fought for for many years. Why? How does their current stance help any of the people who have benefited from Stonewall’s work in the past? I find its approach both ludicrous and damaging.

Please support people in being themselves, whatever their sex and sexual orientation, and put a stop to this aggressive campaigning to silence women and enforce a doctrine of medical conversion on young people unsure of their developing bodies and sexuality.
