Stonewall has failed to protect and represent Lesbians and I am deeply unhappy and disappointed with them. They have helped to foster an environment of homophobia by allowing males to self-identify as lesbians which has put my community at risk. I find this deeply troubling and upsetting.

To label the discussion of women's rights as 'transphobic' is misogynist, and you are doing the legitimate need of trans rights a disservice by making these demands so extreme. You are putting the safety of women and girls at risk from predatory men. There is a way to create trans rights which also enable women to stay protected. Calling women TERFs is only doing a disservice to your movement. Please respect women, and amend your demands for sex self ID.

I support LGBTQ rights but not at the expense of women’s rights. I support this petition and the right to debate this subject in an open manor which is in no way transphobic and should not be labelled as such to silence people trying to discuss the issues raised by transgender activists.

Women speak for women. Any other gender does not have the right as they have not experienced female life, menstruation, child birth and all things only being born a woman can give you. I have no problem with people changing sex but no NHS should not pay for it in any way and no they can not change back after getting a different perspective.

Recent convert and am horrified at the GRA proposals. An obvious ambandonment of womens’ sex-based rights.

Stonewall’s approach pays insufficient attention to the wide range of views of the groups of people for whom it claims to advocate. It has helped create an environment where reasonable discussion is difficult and where empathy is undermined rather than promoted.

A woman is an adult female, and a lesbian is a homosexual woman. It is not exclusion to state this.

I believe that Stonewall should equally protect the rights of all LGBT people. Favouritism towards transgender is wrong as are promotion of ‘gender identities’, psychologically harmful sociocultural concepts, and any forms of misogyny.

I’ve worked with the Equality Act 2010 for the past 8 years and I’m astonished that Stonewall wants to dissolve the definition and therefore the legal rights of women as a sex class. You leave women and children vulnerable if you do this. You expose us to risk of sexual predators and you deny us human rights of dignity, privacy and respect. Women and Children’s rights should not be jettisoned in favour of those of people with gender dysphoria

I hope Stonewall will stop and think about who they represent and how they prevent damage to groups whose rights are hard won.

I feel stonewall deserted lesbians a long time ago. Bitterly disappointed to see a well funded and previously respected institution abandon the people it was originally set up to protect. Lesbians are used to being kicked around by society, but not by the organisation supposed to represent you.

The demonizing and silencing needs to stop. We can have real discussions and disagreements without becoming bullies on either side.

Womanhood is not an identity. I do not “identify” with being paid less, being sexually harassed or being targeted for crime based on the physical reality of biology. Pressuring women to blindly accept any and all men who self identify as trans into what should be safe and private sex segregated spaces is inherently dangerous.
