Outrageous treatment of a very nice and talented man.

The homophobia and outrageous misogyny from stonewall needs to be addressed this insanity needs to stop

I don’t understand why this letter should be in any way contentious. Shutting down debate will cause acceptance of gays and trans people to actually regress. Considering anyone with a different view as an enemy helps nobody, it is needlessly divisive and petulant.

Stonewall stonewalls LGB and women, and punishes anyone who doesn't kowtow.

We have to be allowed to have civil debate without the vitriol levied at those who don't blindly follow Stonewall's lobbying. Women and children are being asked to sacrifice the hard won protections offered by sex-based rights to help a minority group to feel validated and escape other male bodied individuals. Women are not a shield to be used to protect one section of the male population from the others, neither are they a group one can simply identify into, no matter how warped and twisted they make the definitions of these words. Self ID is effectively the removal of female only spaces and will absolutely increase the number of assaults experienced by a more vulnerable group as evidenced by research into unisex facilities. One such example is that almost 90% of reported sexual assaults, harassment and voyeurism in swimming pool and sports-centre changing rooms happen in unisex facilities despite them making up a smaller number of facilities than traditional sex segregated ones (The Times). Children are being taught regressive gender theory that reinforces the stereotypes of old and are being sent on a pathway to unsafe medicalisation and often surgery for gender non conformity, all without a foundation of solid medical and psychotherapeutic evidence. The affirmative approach encourages a disassociation with the bodies young men and women inhabit and blinds them with an assurance that the dysphoria will be sated if they simply alter their external being. Underlying mental health conditions aren't treated and children are encouraged to erase themselves with the lie that they can escape their biology and all the societal issues relating to it. Rarely is the cold hard truth of the dangers laid out before them and many long term health issues are far beyond the scope of a young girl told that the reason she feels so uncomfortable with her own skin is not because of changes through female puberty (and consequently how she is now perceived), but because 'she' sh

This denial to to allow people to talk freely about issues important to them is harmful to all. And by people, I mean everyone regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, everyone.

What do you have to fear from reasonable debate??

Diversity is paramount.

Without respectful, honest dialogue and an ability to listen and asses opposing opinions, no cause, inequality or injustice will ever be understood or get resolved.

I used to admire this organisation

Stonewalls combination of no debate, adding all sorts to the definition of trans and expecting women to just accept Self ID and "Acceptance without rejection" attitude to women's unease will only harm transexuals in the end as women will not accept this and will fight.

Debate is the hallmark of civilisation. We should be able to debate and discuss an issue which impinges on half the population. We will only get mutual respect when women are also respected.

Please let us talk about these issues.

We need to have this important public policy debate without being intimidated or called transphobic, and Stonewall needs to recognise that there will be a diversity of opinion on this. Concerns for sex-based rights for women and girls are valid and should be discussed.

You have lost your way in gender confusion. Come back to rational support for same sex attracted people. Have those conversations you have been avoiding.

As with everyone else I have nothing but respect and support for transgender people but the debate is needed to also discuss these issues.
