Deaf People's right to Irish Sign Language Access in the Judicial System.

Absolutely a disgrace! Echoing others, this is denying a citizen the basic human right to communicate in one's choice of language. This would never have happened to a hearing speaking person. Reinstate his right to communicate, in his choice of language and access to interpreters... immediately. This judge should be BANNED instead.

This is an absolute disgrace. Knowing what is being said about you & being able to defend yourself is surely the most basic legal right! The sooner ISL is formally recognised the better.. this is completely unacceptable.

Surely providing interpreters to people that need them is just common bloody sense?

This simply isn't good enough. We have a right to be treated as equals by our judges and judicial system!

This is totally unacceptable! This is his rights to have an interpreter to be providing in any judicial case and any elsewhere. This is discriminatory to his rights. Hope something will get sorted!

That is so wrongfulness, who is the judge ignorant to Deaf client. He had to be right provided interpreter for his accessibility needs. I see the news was total wrong. It is very discrimination.

That is really shame to heard from them, no Irish interprer provide in the court as does not meet deaf man's requirement. A huge disagrace.
