Deaf People's right to Irish Sign Language Access in the Judicial System.

He hv right get interpreter for the court. Deaf human rights get interpreter he want. He needs access. It is very unfair to deaf community always barriers

This is outrageous. What about the mans human rights. I think Judge Kelly needs to read up about them. DISGRACEFUL!!!!

I stand with you Irish Deaf Community! Everyone deserves a fair trial!

In 2016, it astonishes me that ISL isn't officially recognized. I stand with my deaf brother to fight for his rights. As a hearing person, I would be allowed an interpreter if I didn't speak english, so why can't deaf people have the same right. I love my home country, but sometimes, I am ashamed of it.

Just because something is an inconvenience for the trial or j udge does not mean that the law does not need to be upheld. Another example of people using their power to deny rights and access to minority communities. So sad.

Deaf people need equal treatment in law, education and language. The current services are not cohesive and there really is a need for a Deaf Ombudsman and a specific body with responsibility over the many very different groups in health and education.
