As the STOP-DWI Coordinator for Franklin County, I cannot begin to tell you how very important it is to get this life saving bill DONE!

I applaud Assemblyman Brown’s unwavering support of legislature to combat abuse of chemicals and punish offenders in all arenas.

Our current bill is not working, and NY is one of 4 states that have fallen behind in regard to changing the laws of drugged driving.

The seriousness of these crashes basically escalated with the devastating crash on the meadowbrook pkwy killing the sober limo driver and a responsible family whose 7 year old daughter was killed coming home from a wedding. Not only are the drivers impaired but the trend seems to be driving the wrong way on some of the state’s if not country’s busiest roadways this has to be stopped immediately. We don’t need anymore innocent people being killed over this cause usually the impaired driver somehow survives.

We need help keeping our loved ones from dying and this will give the police the power to intervene before families lives are irreversibly changed. Give them the tools they need to do their job of protecting and serving.
