Too many road related deaths in NY. My friend of 40 years husband was killed by a drunk driver with multiple violation. Joe DeVito, 60, walked out of a diner after a business lunch- he was a contractor am-in Jericho Long Island and Smashed up against the steps railing. Killed instantly. He was beyond a loving husband, father, grandfather and community minister. He was murdered really. This person should have never been driving, added with intoxication. This situation is so unbearable and it could have been prevented. Please, Gov. Hochul protect NY-ers and hold drivers accountable. Betty Olt Oyster Bay, Ny

This change in the law is imperative! A drunk driver took my brother’s life and our family will never be the same!

Every time I get on Sunrise Highway I smell pot from multiple vehicles. They shouldn't be allowed to light up when behind the wheel. They slow down for no reason the swerve all over! The stink is disgusting.

We can all smell the pot on the road, not a day goes by that I don't smell weed when driving on local roads or highway. Doesn't matter the time of day
