Grade 7 is way too young to begin in a high school!

The welfare on these young children has not been taken into consideration

We have 2 kids at John XXIII and this is not a consideration for our kids. If this initiative goes through we will pull our kids out of the system guaranteed. No "better programs, or academic advancement" will lure us into risking the safety of our children. I put mental/emotional /physical development WAY ahead of academic opportunities. This is disgusting. It will be public or private for us.

not surprised this secret decision was made public weeks after elections of our "TRUSTee's". well played... So much for registering in the Catholic School system next year.

4 kids at John XXIII....very disappointed and feel betrayed by the Separate School Board for keeping this very secretive and not listening to our concerns as parents before a decision was made!

Too young for highschool, it should be at least optional. The durham Catholic Board was very sneaky about this and do not and will not have my vote!

We have concerns as well, specifically... 1. We the parents have not been provided choices, options, and alternatives for the Durham Catholic School Board Trustees experiment... 2. To me personally, the decision does not appear to be on the basis of what is best for the Grade 6/7 students but rather how to easily avoid closing schools (I hope I am wrong)... At this time, the only choice apparently given to us is to transfer to another school or school system, if this is the case the we will also change our support to public as well as there is absolutely no point at all why we should... We the parents chose the school carefully for our children to grow up on and it is the school, the teachers, and the students which created the community that we cherished for our kids upbringing - looks like the Trustees for the Durham Catholic School Board does not understand this....this experiment does not impact them but our children...

Didn't we just have an Election? This would have been a nice topic to be aware of.
