Amen! The Archdiocese of Cincinnati sold out - and for what? It is estimated that LESS THAN 8% of their funding comes from this carrot that was dangled in front of them by the federal government. A tuition hike of 8% would have ended this if only somebody at the higher levels of our archdiocese were able to find a spine or stand up against the evil that is Common Core. Archbishop Schnurr - you need to protect us and our children from this evil. It is in your hands, please do the right thing.

I left the Catholic Church and removed my son from the Catholic School system over this. Selling out our children for money. I hope it's worth it on Judgement Day.

Common core will do to education what Obama care has done to the healthcare system. How can we trust unions and politicians to act in the best interest of our children? This is socialized education. How often does our government change things so that it helps the exceptional and hard working? I enrolled my daughter in I.C. to escape the lies and distortions of government institutions. What's next, classes on diversity? How about teaching out of the Koran?

This is scary stuff and to bring it into Catholic schools is even scarier. Why are we just going along with all of this stuff?

Please give back the money given to the Archdiocese to impliment CC, and embrace TRUTH. Common Core WILL destroy the faith and morals of our youth!

Common Core Standards are against catholic teachings & should not be found in our catholic schools! Please consider not complying with these very worldly dangerous teachings to a test! We pray that our parochial schools continue on the path of excellence in teaching to prepare our children to face with courage & the knowledge of the Truth when they must compete after graduation. Stop Common Core!

It is a disgrace of our faith to not properly educate our children.

Parents pay high tuition to get an education that includes faith and also great literature and math skills etc.. You are obligated to offer better for the students.

Parents are the primary educators of their children. Common Core takes away all control, teachers cannot change it and there is anti-Christian subject matter in these curriculum. Please remove them from our Catholic Schools. State Rep. Elect Nino Vitale

I removed my children from Catholic School in Cincinnati due to the common core and lack of religious instruction or integration in any common core subjects. There is no point in paying tuition for the same curriculum used in public school.

I have two 7 year old sons in first grade who are struggling with this core math way of tteaching. It's very time Consuming, hard to understand & a waste of time that could be used learning basic math concepts.

Perhaps it would be worthwhile for those entrusted in our archdiocese with the responsibility of passing on the deposit of Faith to our youth within the local Catholic schools to consider consulting reliable sources (NOT mainstream media, or those who have a vested interest in Common Core's (CC's) success) in order to properly asses whether or not coalescing with the CC would indeed benefit in our children's formation. It seems we would certainly want to prepare them to be salt/leaven with our culture by championing the cause of catechesis so they indeed know their Catholic identity, are proud of it and are prepared to defend/promote it in an America so desparately in need of hearing the Good News! Praying for our bishops and other leaders regarding this topic at such a key moment in our nation's as well as our Church's history. We CAN make a difference if we have the courage to stand up for what we believe in! There are other dioceses within the U.S. that are banning the Common Core for the Catholic schools under their jurisdiction. (homeschooler at St. Ignatius Parish, Cincinnati)

Implementation should occur AFTER proof of effectiveness and need, not the converse.

Common Core is a federal power grab in education; it should remain local. Catholic schools should emphasize Catholic teaching.
