It's a shame - you are supposed to be a rackets club.

We have successful squash teams at the club and they deserve the facilities to continue. There is enough space given over to classes already.

An absolutely awful thing to happen to a great Squash environment.
Reconsider or you will loose so many members....

I am so about the plan to remove two courts - a real expression of how Squash is seen when all the stats show that sport in general and Squash specifically should be being promoted - it’s a fantastic sport for everyone

Squash will always be around for as long as we support and encourage the young to play. It’s a great sport for children to participate in, not alone for physical health but mental and social skills to. Please don’t make this more difficult than it already is. There are enough gyms out there and just think of the cost should you want Squash courts to return!

Absolute tragedy if the courts are given over to some random untested sport. Keep squash alive.

I have played squash for 40 years and still enjoy it more and have a better work out than any gym or fitness class. I have played many matches both club and county level at David Lloyd Hampton, the courts and facilities are second to none. My thoughts are that David Lloyd should engage with England Squash to improve accessibility to the sport at the club. If you sold Squash as part of the gym membership and engaged with more families and children the courts and Squash numbers would increase. Fitness fads will always come and go as I am sure ‘Blaze’ will. The % of people exercising outdoors is currently higher than indoor gym or classes, so invest in using your outdoor space and leave the courts for everyone to use.

Only recently rejoined after nearly two years of injuries from playing squash. The only reason I rejoined was purely to play squash. It was never mentioned that we would permanently lose two courts.

This is such a shame that we even have to go through any of this. It is an extremely valid point about the new hair salon. What was wrong with using that area to test the water with Blaze?

I can't believe that DL are contemplating getting rid of any of their squash courts. The courts are always busy. There is just no logic to the thinking.
There has got to be somewhere else on the site to put this 'Blaze' thing?

Whatever ‘blaze’ is I am sure it will be proved a flash in the pan like all the other work-out fads. Squash is an enduring and absorbing spectator and participant sport that must not be allowed to fester.

David Lloyd are the classic example of a business that doesn't care about customers, customer satisfaction or loyalty. This week after the squash match we were asked to leave the bar early because there weren't many people on the club and they didn't want to pay the staff for so few people. Is it any wonder the service is poor, the staff unhappy and the members all fed up and leaving. Whether its tennis, badminton or squash David Lloyd have shown why we should all be members somewhere else. Its a shame as its been great to meet and play with friends for 10 years now, but DL don't care about that. Change your minds and your culture David Lloyd and live up to what your mottos say.
