Have played at the club on several occasions. Always busy courts and lots of interest in squash there.

Squash is an integral part of the David Lloyd clubs offering and a reduction to 2 courts will destroy competitive development. I have moved from a small club to a David Lloyd with 4 courts which allows easy access for individual practice, coaching and casual players.

Should be growing squash, not closing it. Shame on you at DL.

Racquets was part of the origination of David Lloyd Clubs and it is disappointing to see this legacy being slowly taken apart. Following on from the closure of the courts at David Lloyd Brooklands this is a worrying trend and future generations may not get the chance to learn a game that develops skill, coordination and competitive spirit amongst other attributes.

Played many matches here, would be a real shame to see them withdraw from the Surrey leagues

So short sighted. With such a low turnover of members, squash is easy money for David Lloyd. Beautiful courts to go to waste.

Don't kill squash, is there no compromise where the courts can be kept as squash courts but possibly used for other activities during daytime?

Far too many courts are being removed from centres at a time Squash should be kept alive and in fact is growing at many clubs in the area. All he Club needs in a dedicated manager and/or coach to drive it forward.

The squash courts are a great attribute of the club and the reason I first joined DL. I have played some great games and met some great people on the squash courts; and Thursday nights mix-ins are always an excellent night both on court and in the bar afterwards. Squash needs courts like at David Lloyd (a rackets club!) to keep a high profile and continue to develop interest especially in juniors. Also squash is an indoor sport so available all year round (unlike tennis at Hampton) and one of the best all-round workouts there is. Courts can also be used for other classes without alteration including fitness classes. I can understand one court being taken but to take two and reduce the capacity by 50% is too drastic and will result in a drop in interest for the sport.
