We met with England Squash about 5 years ago and in the 5 years prior to that something like 1600 courts had closed. Heaven knows how many it is up to now. But just how many gyms and creches do we need!!??

Would be a tragedy to cut this sport. It is quintessentially British. Sport and activity needs to be encouraged and promoted.

Poor management from David Lloyd. How can this decision be made with no discussion with the members. The squash courts are always busy and the me,bees that use them also spend time (and spend money) at the bar. The loss of courts and squash members will negatively effect the club.

The whole reason a leisure centre exists is for the purpose of offering something to everyone in the surrounding community.
Not only have you insulted your members by not consulting them of this change first, but you are preventing the ever growing rise of people from playing one of the worlds most proven healthiest sports that they love. Disgraceful.

Games against DL are always well fought and good value. The guys have worked hard to establish a strong side. Please don’t take that away from us & then.

These new fads don’t last but Squash will last forever! Played in over 175 countries worldwide by people aged 5 to over 80!
