I have rescued cats for 50 years.
Traumatised cats in particular very much enjoy playing with toys sprinkled with dried catming. I have grown catmint in my garden in a small way for 50 years, this is dried and kept for the winter months. If this simple pleasure is taken away from the Nation's cats, it will be a disaster. Catmint is not consumed in any way by humans, and we urge Mr Cameron to re-think bannimg this simple pleasure.

The idea to ban catnip is ludicrous!!
Focus on under age drinking, better support for people with dependencies, and better support for mental health issues.
Catnip has been used for centuries with no major illness caused by it and no gang wars.
I for one make herbal remedy teas following age old recipes... One ingredient happens to be catnip. I have no ill effects - it does however assist me to control my depression and lead a normal life.
Leave catnip alone David Cameron and focus on more pressing issues!!

If you ban catnip all the kitties including yours won't be happy. Also you would have to ban the plant called Nepeta which is in fact catnip. Keep our kitties happy please.

My kitties love their catnip toys and this stuff works wonders to get them to scratch their scratching post rather than my furniture, when they can smell catnip on it..., please dont ban this for my kitty cats as dont really want my furniture destroyed as cant afford to replace furniture on a regular basis... Thankyou in advance
