Give Dark Elegy a Permanent Home

A powerful piece of art.

This would be a wonderful location for the amazing work of this artist. They are beautiful and so very moving. As an SU London alumni I hope this incredible body of art finds a permanent location.

SU would be a wonderful permanent home for this amazing collection & a great way to honor our friends lost.

Syracuse seems like the ideal spot for this powerful, moving art form demonstrating the sadness, pain, and agony of terrorism.

My brother was on this flight. Syracuse University has done so much for the families during the past 27 years and the Syracuse students that were on this flight. This would be the ideal spot for the exhibit so that the educational process can contiue

This is so sad and painful and accessible. Yes, please move this to Syracuse University so it can be seen, felt, and viewed by a greater number of people.

On behalf of survivors and family members from the National Air Disaster Foundation we are proud to support Syracuse U as a permanent home for the unique and powerful sculpture Dark Elegy.

I was part of the committee that brought Dark Elegy to SU originally. My cousins, Paula Alderman Bouckley and Glen Bouckley, although not SU students were very much a part of the Syracuse community. Our family has close ties with SU, and always has and Paula and Glen are recognized on the bench in front of the Wall of Remembrance. We would very much like to see Dark Elegy return permanently.

I am the mother of Lynne Hartunian, a student at the State of New York University at Oswego, when she died on Pan Am 103. I have posed for one of the sculptors, and believe it belongs at Syracuse University. It is a powerful tribute to all who died on that terrible day.

As a member of the advisory board of VPAF103 I am honored to sign this petition and support Suse Lowenstein's journey to find a permanent home for this meaningful memorial to all victims of terrorism.

I was formerly the Assistant Archivist for the Pan Am 103 collection in the SU Archives. I know first hand the impact of this tragedy and believe that Dark Elegy is poignant tribute to all those lost to senseless acts of terrorism.

I am the widow of Tony HAwkins, one of the 270 individuals murdered on Pan Am Flight 103. I am one of the women who posed for Suse Lowenstein to be included in Dark Elegy, her sculptural tribute to all victims of terrorism. I believe that Syracuse University would be the ideal place for this powerful sculpture to find a permanent home.
