Suse's work is extraordinary in every way. It elicits compassion, tragedy and a commitment to peace. It is the mother who most deeply reflects the sorrow that is in all of us. It is an honor to view her work.

I think that Syracuse University would be a very appropriate location for this permanent memorial to all those lost on Pan Am 103 - especially our own 35 students.

Given the circumstances of this awful tragedy, having this on the SU campus would encourage the community to have meaningful conversations on finding peace in the face of terrorism.

a very good friend was a student at Syracuse , and I do remember him telling me about the crash but it really had nothing to do with me. Later that year I met Lucas and it was at least 6 months (and a short summer tour) later that I came to understand about What had happened to Alex. Since then I always seem to notice when this horror is mentioned either in the news, or in novel or an art review. I have been to the Lowe stein home in Montauk and while it is certainly an important part of the local color, at SU it could live on forever and be shared by so many more people. I hope that this petition is just a formality and SU sees the importance of the work and does whatever it can to expedite this process. Let me know when it is scheduled to move I would like to see it again as it was not half as big last time I saw it. And I would much rather run from Springs to Montauk than from Long Island up to Cuse...

This beautiful sculpture garden belongs in Syracuse. It really does. It made such an impact on my life as a young woman at Rutgers University. I was honored to see it on Collage Ave so many years ago. I even sought it out again last year- returning to this masterpiece as a Wife and Mother . Words do no justice. Bring Dark Elegy to Syracuse University, please.
