As a former dance teacher and promoter, it is hard not to go out dancing, but I get it. The sooner we can stop the spread of the Virus, the sooner we can get back to what we love doing. I am happy to do my part, and honored to be in the company of those who signed this.

We all have a social responsibility to protect each other, our loved ones and ourselves.
We are in the midst of a Pandemic, in other words a Public Health Crisis and those who are suggesting this a ‘scare tactic’ or suggest we are ‘taking away personal rights’ are really very confused about what a Public Health Crisis is (and furthermore are doing society and the Dance community a disservice!
We must do the right thing: wear a mask, social distance and wash hands.
We’re almost into 10 months of this. By ignoring the recommendations - this has super charged the spread of this virus especially here in the US.
Putting this country’s lack of compliance to the experts recommendations can be put in perspective very easily...a few weeks ago, the US was having an average of 85,000 people test positive (now we are over 100,00 people test positive on average per day in the US). Australia had 4 - thats 4 people on the entire continent of Australia test positive! Taiwan has had nobody since June!
Wearing a mask and social distancing is really not as difficult as ended up on a respirator (or worse).
I would love to go to a Social, or a Congress, etc. But to be honest when I see videos from local venues - I am so disheartened to see people I know dancing like they are above it all. Who ‘ya gonna get sick or kill cause you’ll need to get your buzz? It’s nauseating!!!

As a healthcare worker primarily in the Covid units I appreciate this so much!
I really miss social dancing. I can't wait to get back into it once this thing has passed. It's just not worth the risk guys. Please wait until it is more safe, save a dance for me!

Wearing a mask and social distancing is really not as difficult as ended up on a respirator (or worse). I would love to go to a Social, or a Congress, etc. But to be honest when I see videos from local venues - I am so disheartened to see people I know dancing like they are above it all. Who ‘ya gonna get sick or kill cause you’ll need to get your buzz? It’s nauseating!!!

I really miss social dancing. I can't wait to get back into it once this thing has passed. It's just not worth the risk guys. Please wait until it is more safe, save a dance for me!
