If everyone could ignore gender (and other similar human characteristics) in this kind of (absolutely, not sex-related subject area) context, I think that this would be a better world. It may be tempting for some to see such a configuration of expert guests on television as symbolic, unfair, unrepresentative or revolutionary but it is probably best not to make too much of it. This could be the subject of a scientific study, to look for abnormal representativity, etc, but such studies are difficult to conduct.

Provocative misdirection that casts borwn people--in particular brown women--as outsiders, as 'other', as inferior, as contrasting or in opposition to a norm, is a tried and true tactic. It's wearisome, vulgar, and offensive. Congratulations Daily Mail, you made me (brown, male, non-British) feel a bit smaller when this story broke. I'm over it now, at least until the next time. Oh wait, it's already happened more than once since then. Next time I'm contacted for a professional opinion I'll be sure to check if I'm needed for my expertise or because I'm chocolate "icing".

The Daily Mail has taken every opportunity to denigrate peope of different races, beliefs and views, and play a significant role in disseminating disinformation and prejudice in our societies. This is only the latest in a long line of irresponsible reporting.

It may be tempting for some to see such a configuration of expert guests on television as symbolic, unfair, unrepresentative or revolutionary but it is probably best not to make too much of it.
