Academics are always polite, and that is why DM treats valuable members of our community this way. If we used thug antics like many of their readers and supporters do, perhaps DM would have been more cautious. No more taking it politely. We will confrontational if we have to be!!!

When will the Daily Mail get out of its time-warp? The rag would be a joke, except that there are too many bigots who use it to prop up their own prejudices.

I work in STEM education with Primary & Secondary schools and FE colleges, and it is just this type of neanderthal thinking that is keeping girls out of many of the STEM disciplines.

It is precisely this kind of sexism which the COST network genderSTE (gender and structural change in science, tehchnology and environment) seeks to change - for good.

Appalled, but sadly not surprised - just what one would expect of the Daily Fail
