I am sure GEMS will understand the situation and support the government initiatives in supporting families during this pandemic.

We understand that teachers and staff need to be paid. But cutting profit is a must to enable us all participate in this economic hit. Thanks

I agree, the school fees should be reduced. There is no blame on anyone as this is just the situation but we are all facing financial impacts during these uncertain times.

The school doesn't deserve to be paid full fees because they are saving all the operating costs except for the salaries and we will not use any of the school's amenities or facilities also for the learning materials

Makes sense this school must have a huge cash reserve this is the time they need to reinvest into the school like every other business on earth today.

The petition resonates our sentiments as well. I would sincerely request the authorities to reduce the pending fees as the circumstances have naturally diluted the efforts from the school and the students. While no one is to be blamed but costs to be borne should commensurate with the difficult circumstances.
We have to also keep in mind that with delayed graduation, and surely postponed university admissions, there is a further costly prospect of other useful online courses to be taken up to keep the students engaged after graduating from school in July.

I have sent an email to the school , and still don’t agree that home schooling should be charged same way as full facility and teacher engagement we were used to earlier. As we are in this together School should realize that the they can’t operate and charge as if it’s normal days while business and economies globally and locally are being affected and hence high risks on jobs and revenue.

I appreciate the efforts DAA has taken to ensure remote learning is in place. But the fact is I have now had to take up the role of a teacher for both my kids . It’s a full time job and is like home schooling. This does not justify the full fees that we’ve paid for the third term. I understand that these are unforeseen circumstances. That being said , it still does not warrant me paying the fee in full given that I am schooling my kids full time. I am hoping you would consider reduction in the fees keeping in mind how COvid 19 has hit the economy and the fact that I am having to school my kids now .

100% agree with the letter, it’s content and it’s spirit. Well done. If you share an email address I can share with you a private school business plan so you can clearly see the revenue and cost breakdown and returns.

I wish to get a discount for term 3 during home schooling. I’m a working mom and I’m working very hard with my boys to make sure they are completing home schooling. It’s not fair to pay full price when we are not using the school facilities
I agree
