I support this cause there should at least a 25-30% reduction/refund in fees. Without compromising on the teachers or staff. Gems can and should at least do this much!

Subject: GEMS COVID-19 Relief Package letter dated April 1st 2020;
Dear Mrs. Tammy,
Thank you for your letter dated April 1st in respect to the Relief Package for parents.
Allow me on behalf of all parents and students to extend our sincere and genuine appreciation to all the staff of DAA/GEMS for the work they have been doing in those difficult times. As you can imagine, we are in this together as we find ourselves involved and engaged every step of the way – so thank you, well done and GOD bless you all.
Before you read through the rest of the letter, allow me to stress on what gives me the right to echo the concerns of myself and few hundred families in DAA. My children are part of the GEMS world for more than 10 years and in DAA for the last 9. I have 3 children enrolled in DAA, so we have experienced and experiencing the HS, MS and ES. We have experienced the ups and downs, have seen the good to great changes of the School, supported and endorsed many initiatives and had to put up with many irregularities and disruptions as well. We are in DAA because we want the best quality education, and that is what we expect to have for our children and for the investment we are doing.
As parents, we have read your letter, then read it again and again trying to identify words between the lines that demonstrate respect to the parents request under these difficult times. Disappointingly, you have instead outlined a “Charity” contribution coming from the philanthropic efforts of GEMS. This is pure disrespect and an insult to the parents as we are not seeking Charity or Empathy. It would be a good idea to acknowledge that the fees we as parents have paid over the years is a major contributor to the Philanthropic efforts of GEMS.
Clearly, we as parents and YOU as DAA management are not aligned on how we are seeing things evolve, or it could be assumed that one of us lives on a different planet. There is enough objective news available to all that illustra

Very well said. Thank you Ramzi for writing this on behalf of us all. Even after the last email we received from the Gems founder, Mr. Varky, I still think that we All have been affected, people who lost their job, and got a cut of their salaries, or people who owns their private business and can't meet their expenses! You would think the last that they are well off and can afford paying full tuition, well that's not true! We request from DAA and Gems foundation to consider Everyone in this matter. Thank you.

Terms 3 should be waived entirely, this is not what we were planning to get. Same as other jobs, this is suffering and Parents cannot be the only ones paying for everything.

Dear KHDA,
In these tough days of the COVID epidemy, as the parents, we are happy that UAE government and our school are doing a great job for this distance learning online.
But on the other hand, since this unfortunate virus issue already started an economic impact on the jobs and income of the families, we hope to get a discount on the school fees please.
We fully understand that there is a cost also for this e-learning activity but it is pretty clear that without keeping the schools physically open, there are many cost cutting items which can also be reflected to the school fees as discounts to support the parents in these hard times.
As you may know, all sectors are sacrificing in many ways, and it will not be fair to keep the school fees as it is with no sacrifice on the profit although their costs are down.
We once again THANK YOU for all the support with this successful application of KHDA and effort of our school team.
Kind Regards

As all the economy is going down, people are struggling and companies are taking precautions to reduce the costs. And it is effecting people’s salary. As the education evolved to inline learning and also people are struggling about the payments, Terms 3 and next year fees should be discounted.
