Potential Cymbalta Withdrawal Symptoms Made Public By Eli Lilly

Real Nightmare taking cymbalta. Important weight gain, rash,pimples on my skin that leave red spot all over my body, my legs actually are full. I had all the non frequent reactions. I was at 90 mg trying slowly to stop, I'm now at 30mg. Sent my doctor a copy of this petittion she did not beleive my problems were related to Cymbalta, know she has the proof. This drug needs to go!

I've been a nightmare to live with for the last week. My family hates me and I hate myself. And my symptoms are so horrible I was actually more optimistic about life when my dad DIED than I am, right now But, the company isn't selling any if people go off of these. So, why would they make it easy? .

I have been on cymbalta for approximately 2 years, and effexor before that. I honestly am scared NOT to take this medication because of the horrible withdrawals.

Is there a class action suit going on? I would gladly join. The nausea is the worst or is it the migraines or bothz Along with unstoppable crying spells, iritability, depression...all that I never had before. I would take my Fibro pain over this withdrawl. I was only on Cymbalta 30 mgs for three months. Oh, and when I tried 60mg three days in a row, I had a near seizure while driving. I wish I never listened to my Rheumo Dr. The drs. & Eli Lilly are the only ones benifitting from this drug! It should be off the market!

They should take the drug off of the market.

I have been on Cymbalta for 6 years. Had to go on it due to severe anxiety. While on it a lot of side effect. Got sick and tired and decided to stop. This is my 3rd try stopping cold turkey. DO not want to deal with taping off of it. I feel terrible. I am a mother of 2, full time work, full time nursing school. Please advise on some home remedies to decrease the withdrawal symptoms.

This is a very bad drug it needs to be taken off the market.It made my husband worse.He was hearing a ceiling fan telling him to kill his self,was sleeping all the time,major weight gain.He stopped taking it cold turkey and I was living a nightmare .one night after living a life of hell all that day he tried to kill me.He was charged and now we are no longer together I haven't spoke to him in a month and a half.Not sure if he is still having side effect.The drug company needs to be held responsible for what this drug is doing to peoples lives.

This drug is horrible! Trying to get off it, day three and so many awful symptoms it is scary! Head is ready to explode from cotton stuffing and vertigo severe enough to prevent me from walking at a normal pace. Driving absolutely out of the question...And Hey! Where have I been for 2 years? Dreams must be comparable to an LSD trip (Never tried it) and only hope this all goes away soon so I can leave my home!

Everyone needs to be aware of all side effects, especially weaning off this drug. Shame on all those involved in making and passing cymbalta thru fda!

I was told to see a Psychiatrist to get off Cymbalta been on for ten years have chronic kidney disease.

I think Eli Lilly company should be held liable for damages due to suffering detox - loss of finances due to missed work, hospital and doctor bills, etc.

I am furious the Eli Lilly doesn't have to answer to anyone regarding the withdrawal of this drug. Everyone needs to know that there is no easy way to withdraw from this drug. Period. As I have been prescribed many antidepressants in 30 years, I know the routine. PLEASE understand this drug is the very hardest to get out of your system. I will be very surprised if you can go to work even after tapering way down and being completely off for less than a month. Drs misguide the patient. They have no idea of the agony.

Been on it for 5 years, Asked about taking me off, the side effects are horrible, I did walk the dr said. It has been horrible. My whole Body aches to the point I do not want to move.

As a cymbalta victim, I feel that people need to know the major withdrawal symptoms before taking this drug. I believe that trying to withdraw from cymbalta contributed to my suicide attempt

I had no idea what this med would do to me. I have tried to commit suicide twice, seriously. You knew that thee was this potential because of the urinary incontinence trials. I am upset that the withdrawal process is horrendous also. I think you tried to hide the results of your studies.

Eli Lilly has failed to educate physicians about discontinuing this medication effectively.
