I was recently taking cymbalta name. brand and it wasn't too bad, until they switched it to generic. the generic had me scared to do anything, and it gave me anxiety, light headed, dizzy. my dr tried to wean me off and it has been a nightmare for weeks now. it makes you angry also. I actually slapped somebody a few weeks ago and I'm not that type of person. when I try to drive I feel like I'm risking my life. my brain is still not functioning properly. I have to keep pulling over because my anxiety is on 100%. the drug gave me anxiety. I can't wait till this is out of my system. I've read posts that go back years ago about this product. why is it still on the. market??? please take this off the market and stop making that generic drug, I'm positive that somebody has had to have died because of the harsh side effects.

Irresponsible of this company not to list the devastating side effects from withdrawals as well as to not manufacture lower doses to assist in weaning off of this poison.

10 years, 50 pounds, and absolutely NO sex drive? Why would anyone want to do this to themselves? I'm blessed to have a patient husband who accepts me the way I am. Something has to be done about this drug. There are too many people who are miserable because of it.

I am going through hell getting off the cymbolta. More information should be provided on getting off this drug I am worse now than when I started the drug. I am sorry I ever started.

They cut me off of the prescription assistance program virtually cold turkey without allowing me the time to taper off correctly.....I now feel like I want to die

Withdrawals are horrific!!! Constant and terrible Brain zaps, nausea, severe diarrhea with cramps, extreme fatigue, muscle pain, depression, tingling in fingers and tongue. People should be warned about these withdrawal side effects. They have almost ruined my life, caused me to have accidents, and lose my job. TERRIBLE DRUG!!

I've tried going off before but after a week or more of brain zaps, crying spells, and vomiting I went back on. I want to go off so I can try to get pregnant but withdrawal interferes with my life so heavily that I haven't been able bring myself to try coming off again. If I even miss a dose those awful symptoms start up.

Miserable, edema, fatigue like I have never experienced before

I've been taking 60 mg of Cymbalta for about 2 years now...ever since the death of my son in an automobile accident. About a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia and underwent chemotherapy for the HCL. The HCL is in remission now. I was experiencing fatigue, headaches, trouble sleeping, etc. which I was incorrectly attributing to the chemo treatment. I finally realized through a little research that it was the Cymbalta that was causing the problems. About 5 months ago I tried to quit my Cymbalta cold turkey and I had terrible withdrawal symptoms. I decided that taking the Cymbalta was better than the withdrawal so I went back on the 60 mg dose. With my doctor's help I've lowered the dose by 10 mg per week over the last 5 weeks with minimal withdrawal effects. I got down to 20 mg and the plan is to quit taking Cymbalta at that point. Today was my first day off of Cymbalta and guess what started up again??? The brain zaps that I experienced before. They are not as severe as they were when I quit cold turkey, but they're still a distraction. I HONESTLY CAN SAY THAT IF I HAD KNOWN ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS AND WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS I WOULD HAVE NEVER...NEVER...NEVER TAKEN CYMBALTA TO BEGIN WITH. I feel betrayed by my doctor and Eli Lilly for not making sure that I knew about the possible horrible effects of this medication.

Currently going through the WORST experience of my life. I havent taken a pill in 4 days and I am ready to check in to an emergency room. There is NO reason that ANYONE should EVER EVER go through this. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. I wish I would have listened to these warnings before I took my first pill.

I'm down from 60 to 30 mg and am going through pure hell. Will I ever be ok?

Cymbalta withdrawal is horrible and due to the severe side effects I have been unable to get off of it for over 8 years. I use it for Fibromyalgia.

Cymbalta and its generics should be taken off the market. It does more harm than good.

This should be illegal!! I have only been on 30 mm for about 2 months, and went off it cold turkey! I feel like I am dying!
