Don't ruin our park with things that are not required. I use this park since 1970 and council are making wrong decisions. No cycling track needed.

LCC, not a good idea, to put a cycle path in the middle of the only green, densely used small place in Belgrave. If you have spare cash, use it to improve the Belgrave Library or the Sports Center.

When a hard cricket Ball or football knocks off a cyclist or hits a child walking across or hits an elderly person who has been encouraged to walk across a crowded sports park and kills them! LCC will be responsible!

There is already a cycle path all around the park, please leave the green area as it is

I think it is a disgrace especially when so many elderly people use the park going round for there daily walks.

There is less green space and in the summer there will be no space for football and it will be crowded

Why. When this is the only park around that area where kids enjoy playing some sort of sports. I thought the council wanted children to get healthy this will stop them from getting the exercise that they need

Playing football and cricket is the livelihood for most people it's brings so many people together and yet the council are going to take that away from us when they could save money by putting a football pitch there instead.

Proposal restricts flexibility of usable surface - often multiple football and crickets games are in progress at any given time. Proposal will reduce number of games by limiting nesting area. In addition, proposed cycle path runs directly thru an area historically used for 11-a-side football pitch.

It’s an absolute disgrace if they do this. I have played football on there since I was 12 I am now 52 and all of our friends still meet. Obviously not at the moment due to lockdown. I would be interested to see the consultation.

We usual play football in this spot and it’s really unnecessary to have a path.

This council is not a democratic council. Peter soulsby runs this city council like his own business. Resignation needed now.

I grew up in Belgrave playing football and cricket in Cossington Park until my early teens... Greens like this, as small as they may be, build friendships and communities. Please don’t divide the limited space there already is...!!

Seriously are you stupid. Access from both sides and idiotic proposal through the middle. I think there is more to it and are you trying to wind people up?

There are roads streets and other routes fit cycling needs. Do not ruin the little green that Belgrave has. I enjoy having picnics and playing sports on that park and do not want to feel I’m sat next to a cycle lane wtf
